Precision boring systems with Bluetooth technology
Modern wireless networking is one of the benefits with which the new MicroKom® BluFlex™ fine adjustment head is equipped. Bluetooth is a technology developed for wirelessly networking devices over short distances. This technology has become standard for small mobile devices.
The introduction of Bluetooth in the MicroKom® BluFlex™ tool system means that the display has been disconnected from the tool head, thereby making it easier and more convenient to read off the data. When adjusting the tool system, the user can move the display to suit the conditions on site, so that it is in his field of view. A specially designed adjustment key with integral Bluetooth interface is part of the system.
With integral part balancing, the MicroKom® BluFlex™ can reach a rotational speed of up to 16,000 rpm.
The modular ABS® interface makes adjustment easier on both the spindle side and tool side.

CoroPlex™ MT
By introducing the multifunctional CoroPlex™ MT Sandvik Coromant establishes a new standard that is of outmost user benefit for operations performed with the latest of machine tool technologies.
CoroPlex MT is a combination of two winning concepts in one – CoroMill 390 and CoroTurn 107. It is either applied rotating as an effective tool for milling applications – or indexed in a number of optional positions for stationary turning using two different CoroTurn 107 inserts.
Sandvik Coromant´s multifunctional tool CoroPlex MT is designed for practically unrestricted use of all the insert positions possible without support of any extra software. Although CoroPlex MT is dedicated for Multi-Task machining it is easy to use the tool in somewhat older machines working with the software capacity limited to conventional standard cycles.
CoroPlex™ MT is an innovative multifunctional tool for finishing the workpieces in a single set-up with reduced downtime on the machine. It also completes together with CoroPlex TT twin tools, with two inserts in one holder giving the possibility to change operations momentarily, and CoroPlex SL mini-turret, with four turning tools in one, the dedicated tooling Sandvik Coromant provides Multi-Task machining.

General description:
The Wave Drill Series indexable drill brings together the wear resistance of carbide inserts and the toughness of a steel drill body. This combination lets the customer use higher feed rates to increase productivity.
The WDS drill has two unique styles of carbide insert geometries for its cutting edges. For diameters under one inch, Sumitomo offers a parallelogram insert that allows the customer one index after initial use. Three cutting edges are offered in WDS drills with diameters ranging from 1.00" to 2.00". All WDS sizes are available with side coolant ports and coolant-through shanks in standard (3X) and long (5X) diameter drill lengths.
Features and Benefits
Diameters ranging from 0.5625"- 2.000" with 3X and 5X diameter to depth drill lengths
- Coolant through capable with additional side coolant ports
- Inserts for diameters 1.000" use XPMX three edged inserts
- Insert grade availability include AC350 and ACZ310
- Boasts the heaviest feed rates in the industry

Flowdrill tools are molded and shaped from very high strength tungsten carbide. The forming part of the tool has a polygonal shape with four facets. These facets produce the friction while turning at high speeds to heat and form the material. Flowdrills are designed with an almost flat conical tip that transitions into a sharper conical shape that leads into the cylindrical shape. The conical and cylindrical portions of the tool are polygon shaped. The cylindrical part of the tool determines the diameter of the hole.
Several styles and sizes are available to suit your Flowdrilling needs. Sizes and styles can also be customized.

Flow punch forming with centerdrill is a process in which high-strength bushes or eyelets are produced in thin-walled metals using a simple operation without cutting. Instead, friction and feed pressure are used to heat and form the material.
The flow punch forming process may be used everywhere, where threads, bushings, soldering connections or through-holes are to be produced in thin-walled metals materials (e.g. steel plates, non-ferrous metals or high-alloy steels).
Flow punch forming can be used with virtually all thin-walled metals.
The standard versions include the centerdrill short and long models. They differ only in the length of the cylindrical part; the angle of the conical part is identical. When using these versions the material displaced against the direction of feed remains on the surface of the workpart and forms a collar.
Both models are also available in the flat version, with cutters ground into the belt that remove the collar in the same operation, resulting in a smooth surface.

Steel shank boring bars
Bars range from 156 – 1500 shank sizes
Minimum bores as low as 175
Over all legths as long as 14’’
Reduced neck boring bars also avalaible
|
|
General description:
Incorporating a special dampener mechanism, X-Bar Boring Bars eliminate chatter for extremely fine finishes and extra long tool life. Providing smooth finishes at up to 6X L/D, the X-Bar is ideal for extended overhang applications. Costly carbide and standard steel boring bars cannot compete with the superior rigidity of the anti-vibration X-Bar. All X-Bars are equipped with coolant holes to improve chip flow. A wide variety of chipbreakers are available, including the new positive style ELU and ESU designs, in CCMT, TCMT and TPMT geometries.
|
|
Increased rigidity for minimizing bar deflection and chatter
The rigidity of the bar in the direction of the principal force is maximized because the thickest portion of the head is located as close as possible to the cutting edge.
Chip pocket design for excellent chip evacuation
The excellent chip evacuation allows minimizing tool failure caused from chip recutting and chip entangling. Moreover, damages to the work surface by striking with chips are suppressed.
The oil hole is positioned as close as to the cutting edge so that the cutting fluid can be surely fed to the cutting point.

A boring tool is usually a modular tool, consisting of a basic holder, adapter and a cutting unit in the form of a cartridge, slide or fine boring unit. A fine boring head holds a boring bar or cartridge. A reamer has a tool shank and a close pitch head with brazed blades. The tools, except the reamer, are radially adjustable within a specific diameter range.
