The H5450 and H5470 compressors have a range of configurable cylinders that enable performance to be very closely matched to the required duty. In this manner the machines can be arranged with 1 to 5 stages using 3 to 6 cylinders.
The crankcase may be pressurised up to 15 bar g which permits hazardous gas booster applications, where the crankcase is equalised to the suction pressure.
For inert gases the units may be used with a maximum suction pressure of 100 bar g, by use of a non-pressurised crankcase.
Gas Applications
These machines can handle a wide variety of gases, depending on application. Your salesman will be pleased to advise, but typical gases include: argon, bio-gas, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ethane, ethylene, helium, hydrogen, methane, natural gas, neon, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, oxy-helium, sludge gas, sulphur hexaflouride and xenon.

1. Tabulated figures are only a sample of standard module ranges. Inlet pressures are available between 0 and 18 bar g. HGP50 motors range
from 45 to 90 kW. Standard motors for HGP70 range from 90 to 250 kW.
2. Dimensions and weights are subject to module choice.
3. Performance figures are based on inlet conditions of 200C. Flow rates (FAD) measured in accordance with ISO 1217:1996, reference to 1.013
bar absolute, using a 50Hz motor.
4. Delivery pressure of 250 bar g is typical. Delivery pressures are available up to 350 bar g.

The Laby® compressor represents unbeatable reliability and availability, thanks to its unique labyrinth sealing system on piston and piston rod gland that allows oil free and contact-free compression. The result is an extended meantime between overhaul, that has a positive impact on reliability and operating cost.
Neither contamination of the gas by abraded material from piston rings nor hot spots from friction occur. The Laby® is designed to compress bone-dry, dirty, abrasive and other gases. The gastight casing reduces gas emission and losses to the environment to zero. The Laby® compressor easily manages the compression of LNG boil-off gas at suction temperatures down to minus 160°C (minus 250 F).

Sauer Compressors UK offers a wide family of gas compressors:
'H' series compressors are used for Air or Nitrogen compression. Each compressor is an air-cooled, single acting, three or four stage-reciprocating piston compressor with the combination of oil pressure fed crankshaft bearings, and cylinder oil splash with regulated injection for the final high-pressure piston plunger design.
Performance with inert gases, such as Nitrogen, ranges from 10 to 150 Nm^3/h within a final pressure range of 100 to 350 bar including the Sauer unique NitroFlex integrated 'all-in-one' - Compressor, generator and gas booster.
'W' series compressors are oil-lubricated, single acting water-cooled piston compressors for air or inert gas compression in two or three stages from 10 to 100 bar with gas flow-rates from 65 to 400 Nm^3/h.
'LB' series inert gas boosters are dedicated nitrogen gas boosters that can accept suction pressures from 4 to 14 bar to deliver gas to a maximum of 40 bar. This single stage gas booster range is the result of years of trouble-free experience with the 'L' range.
'L' series compressor/boosters offer a wide range of gas flow-rates from 10 to 400 m^3/h at pressures to 40 bar in two or three stages based upon the established marine diesel air-start Sauer range of two and three stage oil-lubricated, piston compressors. Even as air compressors they can be safely adapted for use in Ex-atmospheres to ATEX regulations

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY COMPRESSION OF GASES – A HAUG SPECIALITY
HAUG gas-compressors run absolutely oil-less with dry lubrication. The oil-less compression avoids any contamination of the process gas and the process machinery.
To obtain an absolutely hermetically gas-tight unit, HAUG gas compressors are equipped with a magnetic coupling. For this construction the permanent total gas leakage is less than 0.001 mbar l/s during operation as well as at standstill. In the case of helium at 3 bar pressure the gas loss is merely 5 grams per year! Contamination of the ambient environment through gas leakage with these compressors is practically impossible.
