Description
With the extensive BE Series you have the choice between a metal and a plastic casing. The globally current pinnings assure the availability of widely pin-compatible Reed Relays. According to the different casings, either 1 to 5 form A switches, 1 to 2 form C switches, 2 Form A and 2 Form B switches or 1 to 2 bistable (E) Form A switches are offered. Special low thermal versions are also available. The BE series is completely potted with a durable flexibly Polyurethane resin. Versions with an extremely high insulation resistance of 1014 Ohm achieved through a special PU potting compound are also available for special requirements of test systems, medical equipment and precision measuring devices. This series` range of applications is very wide-spread due to the variety of possible contact combinations:

Comus high voltage reed switches (HBS series) have been successfully developed and manufactured in Belgium for many years. Production in our Indian facility has been set up. The process and parts have been approved, enabling us to offer low and competitive prices on the market.
Having our own manufacturing of high voltage switches also allows us to offer very competitive prices for high voltage reed relays. They are available in 1 form A, 2 form A, 4 form A, 1 form B and 1A1B configurations, having 7KV, 10KV or 14 KV dielectric strength.
Common applications are high voltage testers, cable testers, medical instrumentation, defibrillators, industrial process control and power applications.

Having our own dry reed switch manufacturing and being the only remaining manufacturer of mercury wetted reed switches in the world, the COMUS group is in a privileged position to offer dry reed relays as well as mercury wetted relays to a broad range of application markets.
Molded SIP's and DIP's and covered housings are available in different sizes and different contact forms (1, 2, 3 and 4 form A - 1 and 2 form C contacts). Partnumbers as 3563, 3565, 3570, 3572, 3573, 3582, 3585, 3880, MSS2, MSS4, MSS6, MSS7, MVS2, MVS4, MVS6, MVS7, GRMA, HGZM, MHCE, CUP, GUP, 851 and MHMG are available.

A Reed relay consist of a reed switch and coil fitting into a housing which could be plastic, metal or moulded.
Reed relays generally have a faster response time than electro-mechanical relays, lower coil consumption and
are smaller in size. Furthermore, the switch is sealed in a dry inert atmosphere preventing the ingress of contaminants.
