HR/UR/TW series: hosereel/umbilical/transponder
Hose reel, Umbilical or Transponder winches are mainly built for the purpose. Winches are built to order and can be executed with a self braking worm gear or planetary gear, depending on the load required. The drive can be either electric, hydraulic or pneumatic.
The Hose reels are mainly used to spool hoses for Fresh Water supply, MDO Fuel supply and Hydraulic Oil or to spool Electrical Power Supply Cables.
The Umbilical winches in general are used to spool a combination of hoses, signal cables, coax or even Fibre Optic cables. Most of them come with slip rings and/or rotating swivels.
Transponder winches used for powered transponders are mainly used with electrical signal cables and have in most cases an electrical slip ring mounted. Winches can be supplied complete with A frame if required.
EMCÉ has supplied systems for all applications including reels with SS swivels of 6" or slip rings for High Voltage.

The GEOVENT Hose reels are very suitable for the extraction of exhaust fumes, welding fumes and grinding dust. One clear advantage of the Hose reel is that there is always a hose available for the operator without having to "struggle" with uncoiled hoses on the floor.
- The Hose reels are supplied as type LX with a wireless control, which improves the operating comfort - OR
- as type FB with spring device. The Hose reel type FB is based on the same transmission system as the F-type, but is more simple in its construction.
The Hose reel is connected to the central extraction system or direct to the fan, MSFG 200, and it is supplied with or without nozzle or funnel. The hose diameters are: ø80 - ø100 - ø125 and ø150 mm.
The standard Hose reel is supplied with the GeoFlex exhaust hose, which can be overrun to a certain extent. The GeoFlex exhaust hose has a temperature range of -40° to +150°C - briefly up to +170°C. However, when extracting exhaust fumes from big trucks, contractor's machinery and cars with a turbo-charger, you have to use a high-temperature hose.
