Contact welding units „Nowadays, excellent contacts make the difference!“
To make sure that this also applies to your manufacture processes, we at Bihler have done our best to perfect the various contact welding procedures on our patented welding devices. Here, wire and profile strip welding deserve particular attention and are ideally catered for by our contact welding units D0, D1, D2 and D3. They primarily consist of a material feed mechanism, a material non-return gripper, a blanking station and the electrode-equipped welding head itself. The accelerating miniaturization of components coupled with economic factors relating to the use of precious metals inevitably means that switching contacts themselves have to be miniaturized. Bihler has specifically developed an innovative concept for micro-contacts which is used in the D0 K contact welding unit. The smallest device in the Bihler contact welding range is particularly suitable for processing profiled micro-contacts which place high demands on the quality of the contact surface after the welding operation. Thus, for example, gold-coated micro-contacts can be produced without damage to the surfaces.

B 5000
Flexible welding system for complex applications
The technically excellent welding system B 5000 with up-to-date power electronics allows variable welding frequencies from 1000 Hz to 5000 Hz in steps of 500 Hz. The appropriate frequency depends on the prevailing application. Higher frequencies e.g. in case of micro contact welding, guarantee a more sensitive and thus optimum adaption of the welding time to the welding process. The system consists of a control cabinet with integrated computer with operation and visualization and an intelligent inverter control with calculator modul. The welding transformator disposes of an integrated measuring box and an improved rectifier configuration executed for optimum cooling. The measured process parameters are transmitted from the transformator to the intelligent inverter control via fibre optic cables. With only two versions capacities of up to 130 kVA resp. up to 300 kVA can be realized. For every welding point NC drives can be integrated and parameterized in order to motorically control the Bihler welding grippers. The newly developped cooling units meet the higher requirements of this welding system.

The quality of spot welding depends on the force applied by the electrodes as well as on the intensity of the welding current. Within such a control program, the measurement of the force applied by the electrodes is extremely important for ensuring constant production.
That is why we have developed this equipment to measure the closing force of the grips that may be used during the final stage or during periodic maintenance. The end-pieces are interchangeable and can be used to measure force with various shapes of electrodes, the minimum closing dimension being 0.12 in.
This new instrument leverages the robustness, quality and precision of the Centor instrument family, which are specially designed for mobile use in a production workshop.

The ground resistance of substations can be measured with two auxiliary electrodes which are put into the ground. To avoid influences from the mains current and its harmonics, this measurement should preferably be carried out with 128 Hz.The high output power of the CPC 100 ensures a high ratio of the signal level to the noise level. Thanks to the signal processor technology, the measuring procedure is very selective and disturbances by ground currents are reduced to a minimum.

Earth Testing covers the testing of earth electrodes and the measurement of soil resistivity. The instrument requirements depend on the range of applications.
|
|
Suitable for use on 110 V, 230 V and three phase electrical systems, this special lightweight ground (earth) resistance tester provides accurate ground electrode resistance measurement without disconnecting the electrode. It can also be used to measure soil resistivity. Ground resistance measurement is carried out using 2,3 and 4-wire method. The ERT 1557 has an internal memory for 500 test results which you can download to your conventional PC.
Its features include a large rotary dial for test selection, large LCD and simple push button test activation. The unit is supplied with four ground spikes and full test lead set. The ERT is one of the most competitive ground resistance testers on the market.

3731 Clamp-On Ground Resistance Testers
The Clamp-on Ground Resistance Tester Model 3731 measures ground rod and small grid resistance through any season, without the use of auxiliary ground rods.
Check Resistance on Single and Multiple Rods or Grids
Clamp-on Ground Resistance Testers are used in multi-grounded systems without disconnecting the ground under test. The Model 3731 simply clamps around the ground conductor or rod and measures the resistance to ground. By performing measurements on intact ground systems, the user also verifies the quality of the grounding connections and bonds. Resistance and continuity of grounding loops around pads and buildings may also be measured.
The Model 3731 also provides alarm and memory functions.

Ground resistance meter 3-electrode measurement on the 3151 gives greater precision !
Ground resistance measurement involves factors that are not encountered during ordinary resistance measurement, such as polarization of the earth, the influence of grounding current due to leak current and grounding voltage, and the influence of auxiliary grounding resistance. The 3151 is able to make more accurate measurements more safely under difficult conditions because it uses the alternating current potentiometer method to provide measurement accuracy, and because it contains features such as an auxiliary grounding resistance check feature and measurement frequency switching.

ELECTRICAL IMAGING SYSTEM PASI 16G-N
The design philosophy adopted for this system is definitely innovative compared with the other systems available on the market. We are above all aiming to take advantage of the high calculating capacities that characterize the computer on board in order to make it possible for the operator to fully manage the automatic acquisition through a powerful and immediate user interface.
The basic system configuration consists of: a data acquisition unit, an energizer, a Link-box device for the management of the electrodes, 32 or more electrodes and connection cable/s (standard electrode spacing or as to user specifications).
One of the main 16G-N characteristic is its extreme modularity. Every instrument may not only be updated as the User requirements increase (going over from 32 to 256 electrodes), but it may even be implemented with the 16S-N seismograph (see the section concerning the combined 16SG-N system for further details from our website

NEW ELECTRICAL IMAGING SYSTEM IN ALTERNATE CURRENT MOD. POLARES
Applications: shallow detailed investigations of pollutant plums in the ground; archaeological surveys; waste site deposit monitoring; mapping and monitoring of salty water contamination of groundwater reservoirs along coastal areas
Until now electrical imaging applied to geophysical exploration have been using the same traditional method for acquiring data: an electric continuos current was applied between two electrodes and the correspondent voltage was measured between other two electrodes inserted in the ground, with an inversion of polarity for each measurement. The new POLARES uses a sinusoidal alternate current of variable frequency. The use of alternate current had shown great advantages, in particular considering the absolutely greater velocity of acquisitions, that may increase of at least 10 times in respect of standard DC measuring time. Moreover, the measurement of the ratio between Voltage and Current can be done in a sinusoidal condition for both module and phase (delay of a signal in respect of the other); these two information, obtainable with a single measurement, allow the system to acquire both resistivity and IP data.
The new POLARES is lighter, smaller, faster and more reliable in respect to the former generation of electrical imaging systems. Moreover, the use of a non-conventional PC extends working conditions to wide environmental humidity and temperature ranges.

Application
Any project requiring a combination of all or some of these properties: acoustic control (especially low frequency noise), durability, resistance to humidity, noncombustibility ; such as, sports halls, multi-function halls, gymnasia, schools and industrial premises.
Presentation
Acoustichoc® is a high density thermoacoustic panel manufactured from stone wool faced with a white glass fibre tissue reinforced with a glass grid. The reverse is lined with a natural glass fibre tissue. The panels with their specially designed facings are ideal for sports and industrial environments providing high resistance to impact damage and to humidity.
Installation
Acoustichoc® panels can be installed on a grid system with tees of 35 mm used for suspended ceilings, or flat or inclined under roof panels. Panels should be retained in the framework using a clip and pin to limit movement. The installation will conform to the requirement of DTU 58-1 standards NFP 68203-1§2 and other DTU in force according to the type of site. It is recommended that grills be integrated in the ceiling in order to balance pressure between the panels.
