Varvel continues to score successes in its product range completion with the new hollow output shaft speed reducers 'Series RN-RO-RV'.
Each size of this new series - displayed at the former Hannover Fair, April 2007 - is designed with a common base body that gives rise to three different speed reducer lines by the means of the appropriate input module fitting: RN shaft mount, RO horizontal and RV vertical input bevel/helical.
Speed reducers are designed in six sizes - aluminium pressure die cast for the smallest three and grey cast iron for the bigger ones - with 30 reduction ratios in two and three stages, and output torques from 180 Nm to 3200 Nm.
Multiple foot-, flange- or torque arm mountings are available as well as hollow output shafts (keyed, shrink-disk, splined) and solid simple or double sided.
Same fixing footprint for the three versions, high flexibility, easy mounting and quick lead times are the pluses that make the speed reducers RN-RO-RV a really new and advanced range.

The Anglgear,the original right angle drive, is widely recognized and is in use worldwide. The Anglgear provides manual or power transmission of rotary motion in a compact, standardized right angle unit.
Our standard line of bevel gearboxes are available from stock in both an Inch and Metric Series, single or dual output shafts, 1:1 or 2:1 ratios, are grease lubricated for life and have an operating temperature range of -65 degrees F to + 200 degrees F ( -54degrees C to + 93degrees C). Utilizing carburized case-hardened Coniflex* bevel gears, all AnglGear units employ completely enclosed & sealed ball bearings.
The cast aluminum housings are precision machined, on our CNC machining center and then coated with a chemical film to protect the material, and use flanged ends and side bosses for compact installation in a wide range of applications.
The shaft material used for sizes 1,2,and 3 is # 416 stainless steel. On the 2:1 models, the pinion shaft is carbon steel. For the sizes 4 & 5, the material is black oxide carbon steel. Shafts can be provided with special extensions ( with flats, splines, holes,etc.) and /or specific lengths upon request.

These bevel gears are characterized by a sturdy non-torsional and space-saving housing. Their wheel sets of alloyed case hardened steel have a Klingelnberg-Cyclo-Palloid gearing and are case hardened. The arrangement of the screw fastening faces enables a wide choice of fitting positions. Contact-less shaft sea-ling variants, as well as the connection for oil circulating lubrication, can be provided on request. Reinforced shafts are also available.
