The QUADSYSTEM magnetic chucks are the revolutionary proposal of TECNOMAGNETE for all machining operations on milling machines and machining centres.
They get easily installed on any type of machine, they don't overheat and being insensitive to any possible electrical break-down, they are intrinsically safe.
The "electro-permanent" patented technology used requires the electrical feeding only for few seconds to energize and de-energize the magnetic field, then the connection can be removed while the chuck will keep the workpiece safely clamped.
The workpiece is totally free for the full machining on 5 faces in a single set-up.

All advantages given by the permanent-electro magnetic chucks combined with the flexibility of a system designed for horizontal spindle machine tools.
With Cubotec it’s easy to fix pieces with different shape and dimension, as well with surfaces bigger than clamping area, using the full strokes of the machine.
Unique characteristics of stability, rigidity and robustness are achieved by the solid block construction made from a solid block of steel.
The subsequent integration of the magnetic circuit Super-Quad into the bee-hiving structure makes it possible to leave neutral zones for an easy positioning of reference pins and stops.
Cubotec is available in 2 different configurations:
C1: 1 face with magnetic surface, the other with T-slots for conventional clamping of a-magnetic material.
C2: with both faces with magnetic surface. |

The Alpha Mill Round Milling Chuck is a Permanent-Electro Magnetic System—it requires electricity for just a fraction of a second to polarize the magnets contained within the chuck.
No electricity is required to maintain the magnetism and is therefore "failsafe." The Alpha Mill Round provides significant magnetic clamp force for milling, drilling, tapping and other machining processes, while managing the magnetic flux.
Perfect for :
- Job Shops, Mold Shops or Production Machining
- Squaring Up
- Five Face Machining
- Thru Machining
- Pallet Applications
- Large Plate or block Applications |

This universal workholding chuck offers maximum effective holding on the widest range of workpiece shapes and sizes. Its effectiveness is considerably enhanced by the new low profile feature, which adds more head room under the wheel. Only 3 1/2" in height, this new low profile interloc is 1 1/8" shallower than the conventional Walker Interloc and a full 1 1/2" less than competitive units of the same type. This savings in height permits greater flexibility with added head room under the wheel to position the work or handle bulkier pieces. This results in savings in set up time and added productivity. It also reduces the chuck weight by 30% or more.
The low profile is achieved with no loss of strength, precision or holding power. With the unique Walker Interloc design, more than 75% of the chuck's surface is major north or south poles, making it easier to locate workpieces without concern for locating poles. There is no wear loss due to the shallower polarity pattern in the replaceable top plate. |

Hardinge Collet Blocks grip round, hex, square or odd-shaped parts and can be used horizontally or vertically on mill tables, flat or angled fixture plates, tombstones or rotary trunnions. Sizes are available from the 1C micro medical machining industry up to the 35J mid-range automotive and aerospace industries. Modular collets blocks are compact with a low profile for increased axis travel and for maximum layout of the workspace. A collet can provide certain advantages over a jaw chuck, vise and other clamping methods.
There are some advantages of using Collet Blocks instead of a standard vise or 3-jaw chuck. A collet automatically centers the workpiece for reduced setup time. Centers remain fixed when the fixture is removed from the machine table. A collet provides equal gripping pressure around the circumference of the part unlike a standard vise or a 3-point contact jaw chuck. Thin-wall parts or delicate materials may crush or distort in a standard vise or jaw chuck. Collets ordered with serrations can add additional gripping power to prevent push-back and radial slipping. Extended-nose collets can provide additional tool clearance. Some collet blocks accept expanding collets to grip a part at the internal diameter. Collet blocks are modular for arranging on a pallet for multiple part processing and quick pallet changeover.
Collet blocks and rotary trunnions can be ordered online at www.hardingetooling.com. |

The DF-2000 is the world's most popular shaftless core chuck. Some of its advantages are:
Concentric expansion minimizes roll bounce and vibration.
Automatic torque activation – no side force needed.
Smooth jaws grip the core without damaging the core.
Rolls can be run to the last wrap – no wasted web material.
Core chucks don"t damage core ID's so cores can be reused.
Rolling friction inside the chuck ensures tight core grip in low or high tension applications.
Step chuck accommodates different core sizes with no effort.
Core chuck adapters and quick-disconnect core chucks also available for multiple core sizes.
"Core Kicker" models automatically eject cores from chuck. |
|
xpandgrip 4" chuck is a non locking method of gripping cores and is commonly used for cardboards cores on Shaftless unwinding machines.
Thanks to a patented closing system the movement of the keys takes place only when the chuck is completely inserted into the core of the roll.
This new design allows the unwind of the complete roll, without web breakage close to the core, a problem common with most mechanical chucks.
Keys are smooth and rounded in design, which allows the reuse of the cores, saving money and with low maintenance of the chucks. |
