MCP offers the broadest ball joint product line in the industry. Designs include North American standards, British standards, and European DIN standards.

|
Ball joints serve as linking and guiding elements for movable parts and create corner joints. These parts from component suppliers can significantly simplify mechanical construction, be used to transfer power in offset axles, transmit movement and are indispensable in all mechanical operations such as cushioning, drawing, tilting, levering, etc.
mbo Osswald always keeps a large number of ball joints out of his product palette of more than 12,000 parts in stock. In addition to the DIN 71802 ball joints which consist of DIN 71805 housings and DIN 71803 ball studs, every possible variation is ready to be called up by the customer. There is also a choice of surface protection such as, for example, blank, galvanised zinc, steel or stainless-steel versions.
For problematic environmental conditions (dust, lubricants) there are special ball joints with sealing caps available. The programme is extended with axial joints.
|
|
Application: Quick Disconnect Ball Joints are used in applications where the housing needs to be easily disconnected from the ball stud. This is accomplished by pulling back the spring-loaded outer housing.
Plating: parts are plated zinc with a yellow dichromate finish.
Specials: Special sizes and configurations are available in volume.

| GMT ball joints are structural elements whose inner ball is firmly connected to the outer metal by means of a vulcanized elastomer layer. Such joints are designed for multi-directional torsional loads and thus, ideal as vibration-technological components for joints and connecting rods. One advantage is the fact that all movements can be achieved without any lubricants. GMT ball joints can be made up of an inner pin/ through hole as well as of an outer socket sonsisting of one or several segments. |
|
| The most economical linkage option. Avoid the loose fit of pinned connections with a ball joint linkage. Offered in a wide range of styles from the basic staked to a hardened housing and snap ring assembly for increased wear and strength. Quick disconnect versions as well as plastic ball joints are also available. Steel version are available with rubber dirt shields to offer added protection against the environment. |

Housings, ball studs and Co. are as various in their geometry, appearance and construction as the ideas of the designers.
There are standard parts in every possible size, construction and material composition available for most applications. As one of the leading German specialist for linking elements, mbo Osswald always keeps a large number of ball studs and housings out of his product palette of more than 12,000 parts in stock. |

Rod ends DIN ISO 12240-4 (DIN 648)
Rod ends are some of the most frequently used linking elements in industry. These parts can be found everywhere where simple movements are required, e.g. linear pulling, pushing or even axle offset compensation. The linking technology specialist, mbo Osswald, provides a particularly wide application range with a whole assortment of different rod ends and pivoting bearings. |
|
| Stainless Steel rod end with injection-molded, reinforced nylon race. Low maintenance, self-lubricating and moisture resistant for versatility. Stainless steel ball, body and optional stud are suited for many applications requiring high wear and corrosion resistance such as marine, recreational, construction and trucks/off highway vehicles. |
|
| 3 piece stainless steel and steel varieties with optional PTFE liner. Used mainly for precision motion control applications such as performance racing, automotive and specialized industrial equipment. |

Description of bearing types
Male, female or spherical bearings are ready-to-use mechanical components, based on the journal bearing principle.
These components are used in mechanical construction to transmit static or dynamic forces at different angles.
Male and female bearings are sometimes called tips or ends.
Spherical bearings are sometimes just called bearings.
The design of bearing components is governed by the DIN / ISO 12240 standard, which also specifies the overall and interface dimensions and with neighbouring mechanical components.
Bearing components can be self-lubricating or fitted with grease nipples.
Spherical bearings supplement ball bearings or other casings in slow movements. They are also ale to withstand high loadings because of the larger surfaces in contact..
The body of spherical bearings can be made from various materials: standard steel, high grade steel, stainless steel or aluminium.
