SNL2-E Ethernet/RS232/RS485 Gateway
SNL2-E – the optimal solution for connection of serial interfaces and Ethernet networks of up to 100 Mbit/s.
SNL2-E allows the connection of two serial end devices. The serial interfaces can be configured via software as RS232- or RS422/RS485 interfaces. Also, a mixed operation mode is possible.
In addition, for operating the RS485 bus, terminating resistors can be switched on via software. Operation in TTY mode can be realized by means of an external adapter.
Both interfaces support full duplex DMA mode operation. In synchronous operation mode, rates of up to 1 Mbit/s can be reached.
The protocol firmware is loadable. The serial interfaces can be run completely independent from each other. On every serial interface a different protocol driver can be loaded and run.
DF-compatible driver interface
For Windows, as well as UNIX operating systems the DF-board compatible interface allows the replacement of an existing DF-board by an SNL2-E module without any changes in the application software.

Anybus Communicator® is a family of certified and proven gateways, connecting automation devices via their serial interface to all major fieldbusses. The Communicator enables industrial devices without a network interface to connect to all major standard fieldbusses including Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen, ControlNet, CC-Link, Modbus-RTU, Modbus-Plus, Interbus and FIPIO.
The Communicator performs an intelligent conversion between the serial protocol of the automation device and the chosen fieldbus network.
The Anybus Communicator supports RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 serial electrical signals without any change in hardware. This allows for connectivity to a broad range of serial devices. Typical serial applications include variable frequency drives, sensors, actuators, human machine interfaces, barcode readers, RFID readers and industrial scales among others. It is much more than just a standard tunneling gateway and provides full flexibility and extended connectivity options.
The Anybus Communicator is configured using a very simple Windows%u2122 based software package that requires that the user simply fill in the blanks to match the protocol of the serial device it is connected to. Applications that require conversions from serial Modbus to fieldbus protocols are even easier as a built-in software wizard guides the user through each step of the configuration process.

MGate™ EIP3000 series products can be used to connect DF1 devices and EtherNet/IP devices to provide Allen Bradley PLCs with remote maintenance capability. By supporting PCCC objects on CIP, the MGate™ EIP3000 can communicate seamlessly with Rockwell Ethernet devices. The EIP3000 protocol gateways come with either 1 or 2 serial ports to allow users to select a suitable gateway depending on the size of the network. The EIP3000 series supports up to 8 Ethernet/IP clients and 8 Ethernet/IP servers simultaneously; each client can send up to 16 requests at one time. Moreover, each MGate EIP3000 gateway supports four virtual serial ports for remote control over an Ethernet connection. OPC servers and SCADA systems can use these virtual COM ports to communicate with EtherNet/IP devices or DF1 devices through the gateway.
Features:
ÿPCCC objects for Rockwell Automation networks supported
ÿProCOM provides a virtual serial port for multiple DF1 and ››EtherNet/IP device communication
ÿ16 simultaneous EtherNet/IP clients/servers with up to 16 ››simultaneous requests per client

ACKSYS renews its serial to wireless solution offer by introducing the WLg-DONGLE, a compact wireless RS232 serial to WiFi Ethernet server with support for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands.
WLg-DONGLE relies on the same technology used in the "WLg-xxx" series and thus profit from proven technology, device is very compact and is specially designed to satisfy the needs of the system integrator market.
Product rely on the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/h standards (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz), it features an full high speed serial port (250 Kbps).
The radio link is made safe by using most modern methods of protection: WEP 64/128 bits, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and authentification IEEE 802.1x (RADIUS).
The nominal range (open space) of the module is 300 m for a transmit power of +20 dBm and -92 dBm in reception (a/g modes) and -95 dBm (IEEE 802.11b mode).
This module supports the following modes : TCP Client / Server, TELNET RFC2217, COM port redirection, TELNET server, raw, point to point (virtual cable) and the serial MODBUS to MODBUS/TCP gateway.
Easy configuration and administration with your web browser, TELNET, SNMP and from the ACKSYS administration software NDM.

Segment couplers are configuration free and transparent: The segment coupler will “display” all devices connected to the PA network as if they were DP field devices. The communication speed on the PA side is independent of the DP side. All PA devices are configured on Master Class I and Class II as DP instrumentation. PA devices only “see” the PA master of the segment coupler, which simulates the DP Master.
Power Hub versions of the segment coupler are based on motherboards – with optional redundancy for both the power module and the gateway components. They connect up to four independent segments to one DP-Master. The basic models couple single PA segments to DP and provide power to the segment. All components are hosted in one small housing.
