DIGITAX ST drives satisfy the requirements of the modern automation environments in the world of Servo Process application drive systems. They offer users maximum ease of use.
DIGITAX ST drives allow transient cycles with an exceptional dynamic response. They can handle very high peak torques, up to 300% of Tn.
The universal encoder input can be used to control incremental, SinCos, Hiperface, EnDAT and SSI encoders. DIGITAX ST’s embedded intelligence saves on having an external automated management system, while simplifying the installation.
Commissioning is quick and easy, with a choice of parameter-setting mode via a removable keypad, a Smartcard, or a CTSoft software.
The CTscope software, a 4-channel real-time oscilloscope, can be used to display, analyse and save application data.
Standard application programs, that can be integrated in the drives, are available: position control, cam, indexing, synchronisation between axes.
Option modules provide connectivity to all standard industry fieldbuses: EtherCAT, Ethernet IP, Ethernet TCP/IP, SERCOS, CANopen, Profibus, DeviceNet, Interbus.

The servo amplifier series ECOVARIO covers a peak power range between 1.4 kW and 7.0 kW. ECOVARIO is suitable for operation of 2- or 3-phase synchronous servo motors, DC motors and EC motors. ECOVARIO offers a large variety of interfaces and functionality. Standardized field bus options such as EtherCAT, CANopen (also interpolated), or Profibus DP ensure a fast system integration. Customer specific enhancements are possible.

IPS210 Intelligent DC / Step Minidrive (2x12 W)
IPS110 Intelligent Control Plug-in Module (25 W)
Embed motion control, drive and PLC functionalities in small units (25 x 50 x 12 mm - IPS110) and (62 x 42 x 20 mm - IPS210). They are easy to integrate in motion control applications where space is critical. IPS110 is the pluggable version of the IPS210.
The IPS digital drives control DC and step motors up to 25 W (45 V, 0.5 A) with very low inductance, in open or closed loop modes. Operable in different stepper control modes, from open loop to closed loop stepless operation with encoder feedback, the drives work in either single-axis, multi-axis or stand-alone configurations.

Deciding whether to use a digital drive or an analog drive really depends on what you need the drive to do. If you already have an intelligent controller that can handle events and it has enough I/O then either will work for your system. If your controller has limitations then a digital drive may be able to make up for them.

Servo Amplifiers
An amplifier is required to power any general purpose drive or servo drive. Depending on the application requirement, CMC offers both general purpose amplifiers and servo amplifiers.
CMC Amplifiers are available with new machinery, in systems and for retrofit.

Two TTL signals control these drives, one for PWM and the other for Direction. Since these drives don't take analog inputs for command the need for a D/A converter for drive control is eliminated.

The Epsilon Series is the most compact digital servo drive in the Numatics lineup. Designed to fit in cabinets as small as six inches (152mm) deep, with cables attached, Epsilon drives possess rugged quality and reliability. There are three sizes of each Epsilon drive: 2 Amp, 3 Amp and 5 Amp, with the largest drive delivering up to 37 lb-in continuous torque. Each drive contains a 14-segment status display, reset button, removable connectors and utilizes standard %u201CD%u201D type connectors.
Epsilon 120-240V NT Motor Selection The NT motor is a high performance motor utilizing patented technology to maximize torque in a compact package. The NT motor uses powerful Neodymium magnets and manufactured with a segmented core to maximize stator efficiency. The NT motor has a very low inertia for applications that demand high accel and cycle rates. NT motors are available in English (NEMA 23 or 34) flanges, with or without brakes. The standard encoder resolution is 2048 lines per rev. NT motors are supplied with MS style connectors.
