ServoWire SM Drives
ServoWire SM drives provide high performance servo operation utilizing digital networking technology based on IEEE-1394 (FireWire). This network not only provides high speed, but also ease of use through cost-effective, industry-standard cabling. Each ServoWire drive supports a variety of high performance, encoder-based servomotors. Consult ORMEC for OEM applications of user-supplied brushless rotary or linear motors—as well as DC brush- type and voice-coil motors. All ServoWire drives utilize reliable IGBT-based intelligent power modules and provide a cost effective solution for today’s motion control applications.
ServoWire drives operate on DC, 115, 230 or 460 VAC input power, and provide both output short circuit and overvoltage protection. All-digital design eliminates the troublesome analog interface between PC and drive systems, replacing it with a modern high-speed network based on the IEEE-1394 standard.
Performance
ServoWire SM drives combine all-digital operation with DSP technology to produce fast update rates, and correspondingly high performance. The high bandwidth control loops in the ServoWire SM Drives, along with high resolution motor feedback, combine for quick and accurate torque, velocity and position control. Position, velocity and torque loops are all closed in the ServoWire SM drives. This distributed control architecture allows for high performance without placing a heavy computing burden on the SMLC or host PC.

PMA90/180 Servo Amplifier
The PMA 90/180 Servo Amplifier has the ability to control either brushed or brushless motors all in one. The 40kHz PWM frequency is double that of most conventional drives, and enables direct connection to PML motors without an external choke.
The compact design and small footprint also saves valuable space. The drives are easy to set up whehter used stand alone or with digital motion controllers.
Features include amplifier enable and direction enable inputs (for connection to limit switches), full motor/drive protection, and potentiometer operation as an on-board full range reference signal.
Input gain, loop gain, offset parameters, component carrier and mode switches are adjustable. Configurable peak and continuous current limits allow high acceleration without sacrificing protection against continuous overloads. Peak current time can be adjusted from 50ms to 3 sec.

The POSYS® 604 is a PCI-Bus motion controller board dedicated to high performance motion control applications with extensive interpolation functionality. The POSYS® 604 is designed to control up to 4 axes of servo and stepper motors and provides hardware linear, circular, Bit Pattern and continuous interpolation which allow to perform the most complex motion profiles. Update rates per axis do not exist as each axis runs in absolute real-time mode simultaneously which makes these boards to one of the best performing motion controllers for up to 4 axes in the market.
The POSYS® 604 is a low-cost PCI motion controller offering a wide range of possibilities. The controller is dedicated to pulse & direction output which allows to control any type of motor provided the driver/amplifier is capable to accept pulse & direction signals. Many amplifiers on the market exist for this purpose (we supply versions from AMC) which can even be configured for either brushed or brushless servo motors.
The usage of one controller type throughout the system, but still keeping it open for various motor types, depending on your customer's demands, enhances this controller to be your first choice. Software written for this controller does not need to be re-written again. Time-to-market design is done once. Equip your machine with steppers or servos or combine them to any configuration you desire.
Due to its possibilities there are practically no limitations to where this controller can be used. Robotics, semi-conductor, medical and harsh industrial environments - where ever you need precise control of your motors the POSYS® 604 is ready.
