A current-carrying twisted pair is superior to parallel conductors, but is of limited effectiveness in reducing electromagnetic radiation. Correspondingly, the twisted pair is limited in avoiding unwanted pickup of external H-fields (D.C. to 100 KHz).
INTER-8 WEAVE cable provides substantial improvement over the performance of a conventional twisted pair. INTER-8 WEAVE cable involves four separate conductors braided into interlocking loops and is a patented design of Magnetic Shield Corporation. In application, adjacent conductors 90º apart are connected together, effectively providing a two conductor circuit.
Because the INTER-8 WEAVE design incorporates parallel conductors, the cable provides double the current carrying capacity of a two wire cable of the same AWG size. In contrast to conventional twisted pair, INTER-8 WEAVE does not kink or untwist when left free. |

By combining a soft core with conductive fabrics, we have created a gasket that will provide >65 dB attenuation at 1 GHz, and compression loads under 4 lbs. per inch at 25% deflection. Low compression forces allow for lighter, less expensive enclosure designs.

Metex connector gaskets provide EMI shielding and environmental sealing for a wide array of connector types - including aluminum wire cloth, nickel copper alloy, aluminum and silver plated glass in connector shell sizes from 6-16".
When a connector gasket is installed between the mounting flange and an enclosure bulkhead, the gasket is compressed between the two surfaces. The elastomer provides environmental sealing, and the conductive substrate or particles embedded in the elastomer creates a low impedance electrical path between the mating surfaces.

Enclosure shielding :
GETELEC proposes, for the shielding of telecom base stations as well as all types of enclosures, a large range of isolating and conductive gaskets. These gaskets are proposed with adhesive film and vulcanized in the angles to allow rapid mounting. Sections are hollow to allow adequate compression of the gasket without deteriorating your enclosures. The materials proposed are nickel graphite, carbon and metallized fiber.
