The M&J 1000M is a compact, mobile shredder designed for use on sites where limited quantities of waste need to be processed with considerable efficiency. It is designed to be moved to where you need it, and is available as a towed trailer or semi-trailer, with a hook lift, on crawlers and with hydraulic supports.
The 159 kW diesel-hydraulic power unit makes the M&J 1000M independent of any power supply. Because you can move it easily from one place to another, it makes an exceptionally versatile shredder solution that is ideal for many varying needs.
This is the smallest design in our range, with a throughput of 8–50 tons/hour depending on input, the number of knives specified for the cutting table, and the feed set-up.
|
|
The M&J 4000S stationary shredder is designed to meet the special needs of plants in which the incoming material is extremely varied in both size and composition, and may also contain unpredictable components. The combination of a large cutting table and a twin-shaft shedding system makes it possible to shred almost any kind of material and that there are no problems with bridging.
The two extremely powerful shafts run asynchronously and in both directions. The power is transmitted via a double hydrostatic transmission that makes sure the machine provides full power right from startup, and takes full advantage of all the power for shredding. Variants of this large-size model are available with different mobility systems, including semi-trailer, towed trailer, crawlers and hydraulic supports.
|
|
The M&J 6000S is one of the largest stationary shredders currently available anywhere in the world. This unit is equipped with two 4-metre-long shafts and an exceptionally large shredding zone approx. 7 sq m in size. Together, these features make this top-size unit ideal for shredding unusually bulky or very heavy inputs, and in large volumes.
In addition, the M&J 6000S is equipped with a powerful electrichydraulic power system.
|
|
The M&J 1000S is a stationary shredder with two powerful shafts that run asynchronously and in both directions. The interaction between these two shafts moves the input material around, avoiding bridging and ensuring maximum throughput.
It is the smallest design in our range, with a capacity of 8–50 tons/hour depending on input, the number of knives specified for the cutting table, and the feed set-up.
The modular design makes it easy to adapt M&J 1000S shredders to meet specific operating requirements in new and existing plants. The combination
of relatively small size and highly robust efficiency makes this shredder
very versatile. This means you can use it for shedding an unusually wide range of inputs, even though it is designed for stationary installation.

Shredder
Another tool in the chip processing system is a simple shredder. The shredder cuts material that can be metered by auger into flowable chips. This shredder is the most cost effective addition to a chip processing system for chips greater than 4" but less than 10" and for material without large solids that can be conveyed in an auger.

RS60 and RS100 series
The RS60 and RS100 have been developed from the RS50 series. Our extensive experience with the smaller series has been incorporated into the design of what is currently the largest four-shaft series available from UNTHA. The RS60 and RS100 machines are also equipped with the patented UNTHA four-shaft system with perforated screen (patent number 319535). With a cutter clearance width of 1.5 m and height of 1 m, the machines in both series are capable of shredding up to 10,000 kg of material per hour with a driving force of 100 kW. The features on offer mean that an extremely wide range of materials can be shredded.
|
|
RS45 and RS50 series
The design for the RS45 and RS50 series is derived from the logic of the world’s first industrially produced four-shaft shredder, the RS30. Like the RS30, the RS45 and RS50 versions use the shredder design of the patented UNTHA four-shaft system with perforated screen (patent number 319535). Both series are ideal for multi-shift continuous working and particularly difficult operating conditions.

RS40 series
Immediately after completing the development of the world’s first four-shaft shredder, the RS30, UNTHA started designing a larger series with different cutter clearances. This resulted in the RS40 series, which also featured the patented UNTHA four-shaft system with perforated screen (patent number 319535) used in our RS30 series (a range which was already proving to be very successful). Larger cutter clearances and significantly higher driving powers allow this series to be used in a much wider range of applications. A broad range of cutters is available and can be combined with different versions of the perforated screen for specific tasks. Driving powers of up to 37 kW provide through-put rates as high as 3000 kg per hour.

RS30 series
The world’s first four-shaft shredder is part of UNTHA’s RS30 series. With this series, the four-shaft shredder and perforated screen invented and patented (patent number 319535) by Anton Unterwurzacher were incorporated into an industrially produced machine for the first time. Over the last 25 years the series has been continuously developed and improved and offers highly sophisticated technology.
The four-shaft shredders in this series can be supplied with three different driving powers and have been a favorite among our customers for many years. The numerous cutter and screen variants, which can be individually combined to suit your requirements, allow the shredder to be used for a wide range of applications, which is why this shredder was also originally known as the "universal shredder".

Tires and rubber
Shredding is the only way to reduce the growing mountain of used tires. UNTHA has therefore developed special cutters for two and four-shaft machines for this very purpose. Depending on the intended use, both shredder systems can achieve a defined rubber granule size of 20 to 100 mm and larger. The rubber granules produced are mainly processed further in recycling plants, e.g. granule factories, or burnt in cement works as an alternative energy source.

Crushing of large swarf is a prerequisite for automatic swarf processing and cost-efficient transport.
THE ADVANTAGES OF THE STEIMEL- SWARF CRUSHER TYPE RS:
- High crushing performance with low energy requirement
- Low noise crushing
- Good accessibility of crushing chamber
- Can be integrated in any swarf processing system
- Long service life of low wear crusher tools
- Low maintenance cost due to quick replacement of wearing parts
- No special foundations required (B25 sufficient for dowel fixing)
THE FUNCTION:
Long swarf is fed into the crusher hopper by swarf conveyor systems or other means. By an ultrasonic sensor at the crusher hopper the crusher is automatically switched on and off.
The long swarf in the crusher hopper is drawn by the tearing arm. Supported by guiding hooks it is first transported to the coarse crusher and then to the fine crusher. The broken short swarf is discharged by two wiper blades via a chute.
Small sized solid parts usually pass through the crusher without blocking. Larger parts and bar-ends which might block the crusher initiate the blocking control. A reversing sequence is automatically started to discharge the solid parts. If this is not possible after several clockwise and counter-clockwise rotations of the crusher head the crusher stops. The blocking material can then be removed through the inspection hatch. Due to the typically inclined position of the STEIMEL crushers there is hardly any spilling of swarf or coolant.

LRK series
The LRK series of single-shaft shredders has been specially developed for plastic shredding with intermediate through-put rates. Our principal aims when developing this series were user-friendliness, reliable operation and low wear-related costs.
|
|
MR series
The MR series was primarily conceived for the shredding of plastics but is also used, for example, for processing wood off-cuts and textiles. The outstanding feature of this mid-range single-shaft shredder is its high through-put rate, achieved with the help of the rotor and swing-pusher in-feed system used to force materials into the machine. The geometric shape of the rotor can be adapted and the most suitable cutting blades selected to meet your specific requirements.

The patented BHS Rotorshredder achieves a selective size reduction, disintegration and separation of:
# electric and electronic scrap (WEEE)
# refrigeration units
# shredder light fraction
# shredder heavy fraction
# non-ferrous metal compounds
# slags
# and much more
All materials are selectivly reduced in size and at the same time compo-
site materials are disintegrated to a large extent. In the BHS Rotorshred-
der RS the input material is crushed by using a combination of impact and shear forces. The machine is working continuously. After reaching the targeted size, the material immediately leaves the machine by cen-
trifugal force. The shredding tools are of very simple design and require no adjustment or sharpening.

For shredding to exactly defined sizes of piece, the ERDWICH single-shaft technology represents the sophisticated and economic solution. The effective, thousand fold proven rotor – stator cutting principle with sieve below for defining the size of piece reduces the materials exactly in a single-pass operation. The material is grabbed by the cutting rotor and is cut repeatedly at the stator until the desired size is reached and is discharged through the perforated sieve mounted under the machine. Due to their space-saving construction and their variable drive concepts with rotation speeds specially adapted to the material, these solid, highly efficient shredders are the all-rounder for universal fields of application.
|
|
When roughly shredding voluminous cardboard articles and waste consisting of corrugated board, the cardboard shredders from ERDWICH are in their element, either as a preliminary stage for subsequent continuous recycling processes or for the optimal pressing efficiency of pressing systems.
The material is fed manually or via a conveying system into the machine. The slow-speed draw-in rotor seizes the material. The faster running ripping rotor equipped with flail type ripping elements shreds it between the two rotors.
The different sizes and equipment variants of our shredders are suitable for a huge spectrum of applications and are readily adaptable to individual customer requirements.
