Remote Control Valve:
Hayward's Pneumatically Actuated Diaphragm Valves are designed for the reliable, remote control of liquids in piping systems. They are suitable for both clean and slurry type fluids at pressures up to 150 PSI.
Position Indicator:
You never have to guess if a Hayward Diaphragm Valve is in the open or closed position. A visual position indicator comes standard with every valve.
Powerful Actuator:
The actuator used to operate the valve, while lightweight and compact, is still powerful enough to open and close the valve at all internal pressures up to the full rated pressure of the valve,150 PSI.
No Corrosion Problems:
Hayward's Diaphragm Valves stand up to the most aggressive fluids and they will never rust, corrode or contaminate the process fluid. Even the actuator housing is plastic and requires no failure prone coating or painting.
Modular Options:
Several modular design options are available. This concept is very cost effective because the actuator can be configured exactly for a specific application using only the options required. You never have to pay for options you do not need.
Additional to the manual iris diaphragms motorized versions are available. These have the advantage to drive the iris diaphragms remote controlled, for example in inaccessible places or in closed devices. The motorised iris diaphragms are compatible to the System Kit SYS 65, this means that they have an optical height of 32.5 mm. The motorisation is available in two different types, either with 2-phase step motor with preloaded gear or with DC servomotor with encoder and preloaded gear. The iris diaphragms have two reference/limit switches to indicate the end positions (iris diaphragm open or closed).
Totally closing iris diaphragms consit of two lamella sets with 2.8 mm distance.

This 1-1/4" bore diaphragm cylinder is designed for a clamping application with minimal friction losses. Its short overall height allows the cylinder to fit into a tight space with minimal friction.
Stroke length: .12".
Output force will be approximately 15% less than theoretical when units are not extended full stroke.
Cylinders should not be operated without a part being clamped (extension should be limited by customer to maximize life).
