SPLIT-TRAY CARRIER
- used to increase sort rate
GBI's Split-Tray carrier design incorporates two independent trays on the same carrier. This allows each side tray to tip independently of the adjacent tray traveling on the same carrier.
When using the Split-Tray on GBI's High-Speed Tilt Tray Sorter, the normal carrier rate of 12,000 trays per hour now becomes 24,000 trays per hours since two trays per carrier are loaded with product and sorted simultaneously.

TapTone High Speed rejectors provide reliable rejection of up to 2000 containers per minute and are available with a fixed stroke length of 0.5 or 1.0 in (1.2 cm or 2.5 cm). Designed for tight production spaces, these systems can be conveyor or floor mounted, and withstand water wash down.
How it Works - When a reject signal is received, a solenoid is actuated, allowing air to extend the ram, which pushes the faulty container off of the production line. The length of time the ram is exteded is a function of the duration of the reject signal. When the signal ceases, the ram and its cylinder return to their home or retracted position.
Features
- High Speed Rejection fo Glass, Plastic or Metal Containers
- Conveyor or Floor Stand Mounting
- Minimal Space Requirement Enables Adaptation to Almost Any Production Line
- Requires Only One 24 VDC Reject Signal
- No External Power Required

The CASI SortMaster™ 110 is a pusher sorter designed for light boxes under 25 lb. at low to medium rates. The system is easy to install and mount and operates seamlessly with our TransMaster™ conveyor and in-motion checkweighers.
SortMaster™ 110 can handle up to 60 items per minute. SortMaster™ 110 pushes most small to medium sized products onto chutes that are 90 degrees from the sort conveyor. With any sorter, the parts per minute rate depends upon the item lengths, weights, conveyor speed, and required gap.

Slide Belt Sorter in general
The Eurosort SBS comes in two configurations being the PU = push up version and the PD = pull down version. The Slide Belt Sorter is an effective and tested solution within its specific field of application. Generally speaking, this type of sorter is used for the automatic sorting of relatively square and stiff items. Usually, these items are able to slide of a belt.
The items to be sorted are fed on to the sorter-conveyor in either the conventional way by another conveyor or from the side under a 90 degrees angle. The products are detected on length and are given a destination. Once the product is positioned beside the right destination parts of the belt lifts up or goes down and the product will be free to slide of. The products are then dropped directly into a carton or into a chute, a roller conveyor / container etc. This sorter has very few moving parts which means low maintenance and low costs.

Natrix is the latest generation of sliding shoe sorter from TGW, providing high performance sortation of goods with very different dimensions into multiple discharge lanes on both sides of the machine. It is capable of delivering up to 10,200 cartons or totes (400 x 400 mm/16" x 16") per hour each weighing up to 50 kg (110 lbs).
The products are conveyed on a sorter bed consisting of extruded aluminium profiles. Shoes slide across these profiles, diverting products to pre-selected destinations. Different types of discharge lane are available, e.g. driven roller conveyors, non-driven roller conveyors or gravity chutes.
Modular in design for easy assembly and reconfiguration, Natrix is a high performance quiet, low maintenance sortation system.

The sorter consists of a number of carriers fixed to a drive belt. In the carriers unit loads can be put/ dropped and will be following the track (shape as a carrousel) below this track of carriers the destination boxes / chutes etc are been positioned and a certain carrier will be opened above the targeted destination while unloading itself.
Trays are actually holding the items to be sorted and will transfer and drop these at the allocated discharge. There are two styles of trays (split trays and tilt trays) and these come in a variety of sizes and configurations (single, dual, twin and quad).
The main benefits of Split/Tilt Tray Sorters
- Sorting directly into the transport container / box, no need for space consuming chutes.
- Relatively low investment.
- High number of discharges possible on minimal floor space.
- High sorting capacity, standard 7200 (single tray) 14,400 (dual or twin tray) 28,800 (quad tray) per hour, even higher running on high speed.
- Simple and robust principles that demands little and simple maintenance
- Suitable for products that are difficult to handle (their shape is not fixed / round / unpacked / soft- goods / unconveyable).
- Very low sound level below 68 dB
