LONGITUDINAL ELECTRO LIFTING MAGNETS
These magnets are used to lift bundles of material with an irregular surface, which complicates lifting operations. Longitudinal magnets, however, have a particularly deep penetration field that makes them unsusceptible to such irregularities. This enable safe and effortless transport of bundles of material. Moreover, two or more of these magnets can be used, depending on the length of the bundles. In the event that people are present in the lifting area, however, extra mechanical slings must be fitted for safety purposes.

The MAXX-ERGO-LIFTER is a highly maneuverable light capacity lifter designed for multiple material handling applications. It is equipped with a standard platform and has a load capacity of 330 lbs.
Ideal for assembly operations, ergonomic applications and other material handling needs. The MAXX-ERGO-LIFTER features a lift/lower button on a flexible control cord that allows the operator to be in the most comfortable position while lifting or lowering loads. The electric lift is battery operated and features an on board charger that runs on 110 volt input.
Also available are several optional attachments that customize the unit for specific applications including roll and coil handling attachments and a tote lifter attachment that are bolted on permitting the unit to be changed back to the standard platform when required.

Cold Operation
Since the electrical current is only used momentarily, no insulation or coil failures are caused by internal heating.
Safer Holding
The permanent magnetic material is unaffected by external power failure. Since Electro-Permanent magnets require electricity only to activate the magnet "on" or "off", there are no mechanical parts that could accidentally stick. Once the magnet is "on" the electricity can be disconnected indefinitely without any interruption to the holding power.
Cycle Time
Energizing the magnetic material typically takes 2-3 seconds.
Power Consumption
Operating costs are very low compared to conventional electromagnets because the power is applied for a minimal time.

Bushman AvonTec manufactures coil grabs with heavy steel weldments to protect the integrity of the coil. They feature:

Electropermanent magnets utilize permanent magnetic material surrounded by an electrically powered coil. To energize an electropermanent magnet, a momentary pulse of D. C. power is applied to the magnet's coil in order to charge the permanent magnetic material within. Once energized, the electropermanent magnet does not require a constant source of power to retain the lifted steel coil. To release the steel coil, a reverse pulse of D. C. power is applied to the magnet's coil. The Electropermanent magnet design tends to excel when the steel coil's edge stagger is kept to a minimum.

BATTERY OPERATED ELECTRO LIFTING MAGNETS
In the event that you wish to transport workpieces over, without access to a mains power supply, then battery-powered lifting magnets may be the solution. Your workpiece can be transferred from crane to crane or from one forklift truck to another without the load being dropped. The magnets are powered by a battery. Controls are fitted to the magnet for easy operation. The battery-powered magnet is available with a lifting capacity of up to 1000 kg. These magnets can also be equiped with wireless remote control.

The Control is a PID controller that makes any solenoid valve "intelligent", the choice of solenoid valve depending on the user's application (from among the 601, Posiflow, Preciflow solenoid valves etc), and on the installation, which may be in a critical environment.
The Control can control 2 loops in the same manufacturing process, whether they are open, closed or double (cascaded). For instance:
- In an open loop: the Control adjusts the valve's pressure or flow rate (without a sensor) by measuring the feedback value.
- In a closed loop: the Control continuously compares the set pressure or flow with the set point thanks to a signal emitted by the sensor. The benefits? Very precise control (hysteresis of 1%) that reacts to external interference
- In a double loop (with 2 sensors): the first loop adjusts the valve's pressure or flow for optimum control, while the second loop returns the signal of the relevant feedback value (pressure, position, force etc). Because the process's response time is integrated into the control process as a whole, the latter is more stable.
