xpandgrip 4" chuck is a non locking method of gripping cores and is commonly used for cardboards cores on Shaftless unwinding machines.
Thanks to a patented closing system the movement of the keys takes place only when the chuck is completely inserted into the core of the roll.
This new design allows the unwind of the complete roll, without web breakage close to the core, a problem common with most mechanical chucks.
Keys are smooth and rounded in design, which allows the reuse of the cores, saving money and with low maintenance of the chucks. |

NORPOL FI-177-10 is a low exotherm, light-weight sandwich adhesive, based on a high quality ISO/NPG resin. NORPOL FI-177-10 is accelerated and changes colour from light blue to white shortly after the admixing of peroxide.
•Recommended peroxide dosage: 1.5% low exothermic Peroxide (NORPOL PEROXIDE 19)
•Recommended application temperature interval 18-23 ºC
VARIOUS PROPERTIES
NORPOL FI-177-10 is mainly used to bond single core material sheets together and for bonding core material to GRP laminates.
NORPOL FI-177-10 is formulated for use in vacuum bagging.

Use of premium resins results in high tensile and flexural strength. Its high adhesive strength provides an excellent bond between the core and the laminate. Its is suitable for most coring applications and is compatible with our Foamline, BalsaLite and Nida-Core, TecnoCore, PVC and SAN foam core materials. Characteristics include: lightweight, non-sagging, and long working time for coverage of large areas. Consult MSDS for additional handling, storing and safety information. NidaBond is available either Pumpable or Trowelable.

LIGHT WEIGHT
Nature provides the geometry, we provide the honeycomb composite material. Nida-Core is extruded from tough, versatile polypropylene plastic. (Other materials are available). Thermo fused to the honeycomb cells are non-woven polyester bonding scrims with a polypropylene barrier film to limit resin consumption. When encapsulated in a laminate it is recognized by the US Coast Guard as a primary flotation material in small boats.
ROT PROOF
PVC and SAN Foams are attacked by styrene and absorb water when exposed, plywood and balsa rot or lose strength when wet. Nida-Core does NOT rot and is unaffected by most solvents and chemical agents. Additionally, when encapsulated in a laminate using a non-aqueous resin the scrim forms a seal limiting water migration through the structure, even if skin is punctured.
EXCELLENT BOND
The cell walls are fused into the non-woven polyester scrim. That coupled with the scrim's affinity for virtually any resin or adhesive system provides exceptional bond and peel strength.
IMPACT RESISTANCE
There are many cores that can make a light, stiff structure. Nida-Core, however, combines the light weight and stiffness of honeycomb with tough polypropylene plus superior bonding properties due to the thermo fused scrim. The combination allows Nida-Core to absorb and dissipate impacts and shocks repeatedly that would cause ultimate catastrophic failure in other core materials.
