The Delta Line presented in this catalogue includes electrospindles for high speed milling operations that represent one of the best products available on the world market.
OMLAT has developed this line of electrospindles following the needs of tool machine manufacturers and paying particular attention to the reliability of the products.
Thanks to the study of the working cycles of different machines for aluminium, plastic, wood, composite materials and graphite working OMLAT has been able to design and build proper electrospindles for this kind of operations.
The rotation speed, the power and the torque, the tool attachment, the clamping system and the bearings are all factors that have been carefully considered with the aim to guarantee high performances and reliability of the electrospindles.

The high speed spindles and electrospindles designed and manufactured by OMLAT are an example of innovation and technical precision from 50 years. This is a consolidated tradition and the basis to establish a relationship of trust with lots of partner companies whose success is a great satisfaction for OMLAT.
The technology of the electrospindle has recently spread over a lot of fields where high speed cutting operations are necessary to spare time, to reduce the costs and to guarantee perfect results and reliability (Wood working, plastic, aluminium, glass, graphite and composite materials). Omlat with its "know-how" is able to follow this continuous technical evolution and to offer spindles and electrospindles for all working operations requiring power, speed, stiffness and application.
OMLAT spindles and electrospindles are a sample of tecnology and precision, a good solution for high quality results.

For many years OMLAT Spa has been successfully manufacturing liquid cooled electrospindles for wood-working.
Today Omlat, thanks to new technologies, has developed a new series of electrospindles called DELTA AIR.
DELTA AIR is cooled by an electro-fan fitted on the electrospindle granting low maintenance costs.
The peculiarity however is its design which allows to change the shaft kit (nose, shaft complete with front & back bearings) in only 3 minutes.
This process can be done by an operator without Omlat engineer intervention.
DELTA AIR main characteristics:
-Tool attachment (HSK or ISO)
-Electrospindle nose (LN – long nose or SN – short nose)
-Speed (18000rpm or 24000rpm)
-Poles (2 or 4)
-Voltage (220V or 380V)
-Power (5kW, 7,5kW or 12kW).

The Omlat has planned and realized a line of electrospindles it specifies for workmanships of the light leagues for the industry aeronautical and aerospace American.
The peculiar characteristic of these electrospindles is a little while ago to unite characteristics of power disbursed to the high speed of rotation up to unthinkable.
We list a practical example:
- speed of rotation n 24.000/1
- power (S1/100%) kW 80
- attack utensil HSK A63
Another example realized particularly interesting:
- speed of rotation n 18.000/1
- power (S1/100%) kW 101
- attack utensil HSK A100
attached photo of one of the quoted electrospindles
Such electrospindles allow to work particular decidedly drawn by the full one in times meeting places in comparison to the past, with improvement also of the worked surfaces.

They are used for special machining on vertical and horizontal spindle grinding machines (i.e. dovetails, slideways, diets etc..). Surface grinding machines (next to the main spindle), milling-planing machines or transfer machines are often equipped with these electroheads.
Great powers are then used on surface grinders (face grinding with segmental wheels).

In 2004 OMLAT spa studied and realised several electric spindle applications for grinding, with the technical characteristic of having hydrostatic bushes instead of ball bearings.
This concept (an oil cushion with approx. 60 bar pressure) makes it possible to obtain a dynamic rigidity that is more than three times that obtained with the mechanical solution (ball bearings) and consequently guarantees a very high quality finish.
These spindles have been constructed for tangential grinding machines, for the large size bearings sector and for the rolling cylinder grinding sector.
Both asynchronous and synchronous motors have been used able to fully meet the project requirements regarding performance (power and rotation speed), together with a very low vibration level, appropriate for high-precision machining.
With the high rigidity obtained by this system, last generation tools can be used to full advantage, ensuring the best output and long life.
Here we indicate the speed range of the hydrostatic electrospindles.
- Speed: range: from 1800 to 3000 min-1
- Power range (S1/100%): from 35 to 45 kW
- Torque (S1/100%): from 100 to 380 Nm
- Wheel: range from ø400mm to ø1000mm

Company OMLAT spa is a company gives beyond 60 years specialized in the planning and realization of mandrels/elettromandrini for the field of blots of it tools.
The recognized peculiarity of the Omlat to realize entire the productive cycle is thought characterizing for the high level of professionality that beyond 200 adetti they confer to the entire range of production.
The constant attention of the Omlat in examining and proposing finalized solutions to improve the characteristics of blots some is the base of the continuous evolution of the product is in technological terms that of just equilibrium quality/price. The Omlat puts in evidence a solution online with how much sopraindicato represented from a part fixed support on the head machine and the other called part cartridge that allows a fast substitution of the elettromandrino reducing the times of substitution and riavvio.

No more than 15 years ago they were used to equip special-purpose grinders, while nowadays they are often included in the standard equipment of general-purpose grinders thanks also to the remarkable versatility in electronics.
Electrospindles are largely used in mass-production; in fact, manufacturers of bearings, ball and socket joints, injectors and pumps are all great users of this component.
In addition, the automation in wheel replacement has markedly increased their use.

Modern spindle units for effective milling results
Many milling machines - both old and new - have a relatively low maximum speed does have advantages in roughing operations, but are a big drawback to achieving effective feed rates.
Low speed also greatly limits the advantages of modern CNC applications. The results: much longer machining times and loss of valuable production capacities.
We offer a concincing solution for this situation: Pokolm-Voha high-speed spindle systems for the most profitable machining results.

Electrospindle heads
One of the aspects that permitted to FPT to excel in the International markets during these years is that to be able to understand and transform into real jewels all designed accessories that fitted out its range of production.
This very innovative concept has characterised FPT products since 1994, making the difference in terms of exploitatation of the machines, of machining quality and low cost management, and saving tools, clamping systems and time.
Another example of FPT innovation is represented by the 5 continuous axis twist head with power gear driven spindle, named TTWM.
