Cold Metal Transfer (CMT), a new chapter in the history of welding. The TPS 5000 CMT is a fully digital micro-processor controlled inverter welding system that supports the Fronius CMT process. Besides MIG/MAG, the system is also suitable for TIG and electrode welding.
The innovation that the CMT process introduces is that wire feeding is integrated into process control. This makes it possible to reduce the amount of heat applied; and that means no spatter on the work piece join.
The TransPuls Synergic 5000 CMT with 500 A is ideal for applications in the automotive and automotive supplies industry, avionics and spaceflight, metal working and portal building. In fact, the system is suitable for any automated or robot assisted job. The typical fields of application are thin and ultra-thin sheet joins of 0.3 mm or more, MIG soldering of galvanized sheet metal, and steel/aluminum joints.

Metal Inert Gas welding and Metal Active Gas welding are the most widely used welding processes in the world today. The range of possible uses is especially wide in the case of the versatile MAG process, which is suitable for unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy base metals. This makes it ideal for use in both the production field and for repair welding. The MIG process, on the other hand, is used for aluminium and copper materials.
All in all, then, a highly versatile welding process.

EFD presents the new ProcessMate 6100 Hot Air Reflow System. This digital bench top reflow system uses an active feedback loop to accurately control air temperature to ± 5ºC. Temperature ranges from 100ºC to 480ºC adjustable in 1ºC increments. The diaphragm pump provides an adjustable, repeatable, constant air flow.
When used with EFD SolderPlus® dispensing solder paste, the ProcessMate 6100 reduces operator variability, rework and scrap while increasing productivity and production yields without special training requirements typical of wire-and-iron soldering. The precise temperature and air flow control allows for a larger process window for reflow without overheating components. Operators are able to visually observe solder being reflowed to prevent common soldering defects.

Pi 200 and Pi 250 are for quality welding operations in TIG AC/DC and MMA. You have never seen such a variety of readily accessible facilities for TIG weld-ing: increased programming, simple operation and user-friendly design, as well as inverter technology combined with innovative operation and communi-cation possibilities.
Mono-phase and three-phase
A high-performance mono-phase or three-phase Pi machine is always available and perfect for a wide range of TIG and MMA welding operations. Both the Pi 200 and the Pi 250 are available in three ersions, all of which have easy-to-use control panels:
Pi DC for MMA welding with simple TIG LIFTIG®.
Pi DC HP - TIG with pulse and Synergy Plus™ as standard features.
Three optional pulses:
Pi offers three optional pulse versions: traditional manual pulse, quick pulse, and Synergy Plus™ for DC welding which automatically adjusts all overarching pulse para-meters. Another advantage of Synergy Plus™ is that the traditional sound in pulse welding has been replac-ed by a sound that does not cause stress. Pi 200 HP and Pi 200 AC/DC, the two mono-phase machines, feature PFC (Power Factor Correction), a function that makes it possible to weld with up to 200 A if only 16 A mains fuses are available.
Controlled cleaning zone:
All Pi AC/DC machines - including the mono-phase version - are fitted with the D.O.C.® system,Miga-tronic's revolutionary dynamic oxide control. In
welding aluminium, D.O.C.® ensures a controlled cleaning zone along the weld, increases the welding speed by up to 30% and reduces the consumption of energy and tungsten electrodes correspondingly.

The main advantage of Tungsten Inert Gas welding is the huge range of different materials that it can be used to weld. These materials can be welded from thicknesses of only 0.6 mm upwards, and include unalloyed and alloyed steels, aluminium, magnesium, copper, grey cast iron, bronze, nickel, silver, titanium, lead and many others beside.
The principal area of use is for welding thin and medium thicknesses of material, and for welding root passes on joints with thicker cross-sections.
