LED illumination and Fiberoptics
SATURN – LED ring light for high level illumination
SATURN is a LED illumination used for the optimal light contrast for stereomicroscopes. Made of premium black-anodized aluminium housing, SATURN features 80 highlighted LEDs, which can be divided into 8 segments.
With the built in joystick on the light controller, you have the possibility to switch between each segment and its combinations. With the brightness wheel on the light controller, every single segment can be dimmed separately. It also features a memory function, where you can store 9 different illumination settings, which can be easily called up later.
With SATURN, you have two ways to take control over your ring light.
Joystick and brightness wheel on the light controller, but you also have a built in USB interface, which gives you the possibility to adjust the ring light using your PC.
Dimensions of the ring light are - outer diameter of the ring is 114mm, the inner diameter is 66mm. With the adapter rings available, you can use the ring light for objectives with diameters from 58mm to 66mm.
VENUS – Compact ring light
Also made of premium black-anodized aluminium housing, VENUS ring light also features highlighted LEDs, which can be dimmed with a brightness regulator on the light controller.
Although VENUS ring light is not divided in segments, with its alternatively 40 or 80 highlighted LEDs, it creates a very bright and homogenous illumination of the object.
Also available:
MARS – fiberoptic coldlight source for microscopy and general illumination

Economical and Flexible
With the Axio Scope.A1, Carl Zeiss provides a flexible, high-performance modular microscope platform specially designed for routine applications in materials microscopy. New instrument solutions and the high-quality EC Epiplan line of objectives will meet the demands of users faced with specific routine tasks in materialography. This new generation of microscopes has been tailored to the requirements of quality inspection, damage analysis and production inspection.
The extreme flexibility of the microscope is achieved with five upper parts, three lower parts and two Vario columns which can be selected for the respective requirements and combined into an optimally customized system. The Axio Scope A.1 offers exceptionally large scalability of the sample area for numerous applications which can be continuously set for sample sizes up to 380 mm, depending on the configuration. 2-position sliders, 4-position and 6-position reflector turrets are available as reflector modules, depending on the application.
Axio Scope.A1 enables innovative techniques such as C-DIC and PlasDIC. The line of high-contrast EC Epiplan objectives was specially developed for routine applications. They produce a flat image for a 23 mm field and are available in brightfield and brighfield/darkfield versions. As they are produced with low strain, they are ideal for high-quality DIC microscopy. This line of objectives enables the innovative C-DIC technique (Differential Interference Contrast in circularly polarized light) with only a single prism.

The attoCFM I has been developed to offer highest flexibility in order to enable adaptation of the experimental setup according to the customer‘s needs. This flexibility is realized by the modular beam splitter head which is positioned outside of the cryostat. Furthermore, the free-beam optical design allows to adjust the excitation and the collection port completely independent. Thus, filtering of the excitation and collection signal enables also applications as e.g. raman spectroscopy. The easy handling opens up new possibilities in quantitative surface characterization in the submicron range.
