For optimised particle size distribution: The Nebulasizer
The NARA Nebulasizer is designed to optimise the particle size distribution of soft granulates and extrudates. This standardization is possible both with wet and dry granulates.
During the process the oversized agglomerates will be reduced in their size and simultaneously fine-grained resp. dust particle are applied on bigger agglomerates. In one step the coarse particles are eliminated and the fine particles are agglomerated, but without an unwanted crushing. A following process step like sieving is not needed.
Because of his simple layout the machine is easy to clean, why the Nebulasizer is of interest for the pharmacy and the food processing industry in equal measure.
The GMP construction consists of a minimum of components with a highly polished surface that makes disassembling and cleaning in no time.
Besides the stainless-steel construction there is also an alternative for heavy industry available. This construction is able to convert building material like moulding compound or ceramics.
Nara’s especially developed innovative principle of comminution minimises the shearing strain of the particles, so that a crushing of particle size is not given.
Because of the screenless construction a breakage of the screen is out of the question.
The Nara Nebulasizer is now available as a milling tool in the new generation of Nara-Pharmamills. It can be integrated perfectly into existing productions.

Mixing highly abrasive materials such as ceramics, silica, mica, clays, chalk, graphites etc. can cause severe wear to mixing equipment, particularly on the bush and mixer shaft, reducing efficiency and leading to high maintenance costs and downtime.
Silverson offers a high shear mixer specifically for applications of this nature – the Abramix RBX series.
Silverson High Shear mixers are supremely efficient and can cut mixing times by up to 90% when compared to conventional agitators. The shortened mixing times obtained from using a Silverson mixer dramatically reduces the impact of abrasive materials. To enhance this advantage, the Abramix features a heavy-duty shaft which is firmly supported by two precision roller bearings, situated above the level of the product being mixed. The stability and vibration-free running which results from this arrangement removes the need for an immersed bush and reduces the wear to the mixer shaft. Rotor tips are specially hard tipped, further reducing the effect on wetted parts and the associated downtime and maintenance costs - minimum maintenance is a key feature of the design.
Another benefit of the Abramix model is dry running. Mixing of non-flammable products can continue uninterrupted while the vessel is being emptied, especially useful where suspensions need to be maintained or where thixotropic products are being processed.
Typical Applications
• Liquid Glazes - Preparation and Re-dispersion including Incorporation of Pigments, Wetting Agents, Hardeners, etc.
• Ceramic slips
• Clays and Silicas
• Texture Paints
• Foundry Compounds. |

IBC Mixers
Mixing in Intermediary Bulk Containers (IBCs) can be a challenging task. With the restricted opening and problematic vessel geometry it is difficult to find a mixer which can operate efficiently in these containers. Conventional agitators can provide adequate in-tank movement at low viscosities, but they are generally less effective and can be difficult to clean.
The Silverson Ultramix is designed to provide solutions to challenges such as this. The small diameter dynamic mixing head provides vigorous in-tank mixing, even at higher viscosities, eliminating dead areas in square vessels. This also reduces power requirements and simplifies cleaning – the Ultramix is designed for CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) and complies with 3A, USDA and cGMP requirements.
To further enhance the capabilities of the Ultramix in this application Silverson has designed a mixing station for use with IBCs. The unit incorporates a number of safety features and is available as either a mobile model which can be moved between vessels, or a floor/wall mounted station for operation in a designated area. Various levels of automation are available from safety interlocked manual operation to fully automated systems.

Measuring Mixers
Simulate production realistically on a laboratory scale
Brabender® measuring mixers are interchangeable measuring heads which, in connection with a Plasti-Corder® Lab-Station or Plastograph®, serve for testing the processibility of thermoplastics, thermosets, elastomers, ceramic molding materials, fillers, pigments, and many other plastic and plastifiable materials under practice-oriented conditions, cost-effectively, reliably, with little expenditure of time and material.
The measuring mixers consist of a mixer backstand with gear unit and a detachable mixer bowl. In addition to the electronic safety systems, they are connected to the drive unit through a shear pin coupling protecting both mixer and drive unit from damage due to overload. |

The Perfect Blend
At Enraf we define our blending applications as the continuos combining of two or more products, to a pre-determined specification, during a standard flow process. That process could be a ship feed to storage tank process, an aircraft re-fuelling process, a load rack to road tanker filing process or a myriad of alternative operations. Blending is differentiated from 'Injection' by its continuos feed of blend components, and generally by higher ratio requirements defined as 'Percentages', as opposed to 'Parts Per Million'. Applications in this field include, but are not limited to:
Ethanol Bio Fuel Blending
Diesel Bio Fuel Blending
Fuel Oil Blending
Mid Grade Fuel Blending
Chemical Blending
Fertiliser Blending |

The wide range of Parimix IMR type continuous mixers, uses the exclusive principle of central injection of dry or liquid products into the mixing chamber.
This principle ensures a perfect control over the point where the products meet and therefore a unique quality of distribution.
Thanks to this principle, the volume of the mixing chamber is very low, whatever the flow.
It results in low power consumption and minimum space requirement of these mixers compared to the standard industrial units.
The materials used for manufacturing these mixers are selected according to the products mixed (abrasive, fragile, corrosive, plugging, etc.).
Parimix features a wide range of robust and compact mixers for flows ranging from 50 kg/h to 30 t/h. |
