In feeder straighteners, the functions of levelling and feeding are combined in one machine. A prerequisite for reliable operation is dynamic cyclic ventilation - even at high stroke rates.
Feeder straighteners allow compact feeding of the strip to the press - the short format design. ARKU established the short-format design in presses at the beginning of the 1990s as a result of systematic product development.

Wire Guides and Straightening Rollers - type A or AT
Field of Application :
The straightening of cables, strips and wires is performed in steps with successive stages until the final product is obtained. To rationalize the handling between the different steps the material is stocked on reels or on bobbins and takes forms which are not natural.
For every production step, it is therefore necessary to carry out the inverse process by taking the material off its support. At that moment, the straightening operation takes place. It may be divided into three steps:
The straightening, consisting of putting the material back into its original shape. The operation is carried out by the first straightening rollers.
The removal of the residual constraint in the material, due to the winding on the bobbin. This operation is performed by the rollers located in the central part of the straightener.
The forming of the wire carried out by the last rollers on the straightener, generally placed at an angle of 90°compared to the angle of the first rollers.

-Feeders: The feeder works by taking up the sheet metal supplied by the decoiler or straightener and regulating the exact quantity that should be furnished to the press at all times. By using CNC technology (numeric computer control) the process can be parametrized so that it is possible to program maximum speed, acceleration / deceleration and with the position in either millimetres or inches. To see figure
-Feeder/levelling machine: This machine is an evolution of the above and today most feeders incorporate the levelling function. As its name indicates, its purpose is to level out the sheet metal that, due to the slightly convex morphology, it adopts on the coil. Therefore, it is necessary to flatten the sheet metal so that it is absolutely level on reaching the press. Otherwise, the quality of finish produced by the feeder-levelling machine would not be obtained.

Application:
The Minster Straightener, equipped with the Production Management Control (PMC) System, is the core of the stock preparation system. In its basic form, this multi-function machine provides precise straightening of the stock, and accurate control of the storage loop. When equipped with the optional hold-down arm and peeler table, the Minster Straightener facilitates safe and efficient threading of the coil. When installed along with a complete Minster coil line, it controls and supplies hydraulic power to the thread table, reel and coil car. It also communicates via its PMC with the press and feed PMC, providing complete coil line control and diagnostics.

CDSF7-PR is a special edition of the CDSF6. To prevent the excessive spring effect of the coil, usual for the compact lines, we add a pinch-roll to pull the coil from the braking decoiler. This system is appreciated in Germany.
- The CDSF7-PR is a compact line consisting of:
- single motorised decoiler: work at variable speed with a loop control to guarantee a soft movement
- straightener/feeder: with 2 rolls pinch-roll Ø 180 mm
- Straightener station with rolls at big distance, adapted for medium width strip - 9 rolls Ø 90 mm, to guarantee the necessary planarity.
- The line requires 8 meters of space.
- The CDSF7-PR is the best solution in case you don't need high speed (max 90 spm) but you have few space. The line have a competive price.
