Recently, Seelen A/S launched a new horizontal hood stretch machine; the EasyOn, which is a patented solution developed specifically to pack long, homogeneous loads, such as gypsum wallboards, insulation and wooden floors. The EasyOn pushes the products through the foil, allowing products to be packed that up till now had to be shrink packed or stretch wrapped, as they were ill-suited for stretch hood packaging due to their large circumference.

COMBINED MACHINE FOR THERMORETRACTILE MOD. FTB/419
It is able to offer the stretching and the heat shrinking of goods stacked on pallets thanks to a single machine, reducing the spaces of plant. The action of stretching is carried out by a coil in tubular thermoretractile and the heat shrinking is carried out by air partially recycled in a stainless steel ring. This machine works with every type of low-pressure gas reducing at the most the waste of energy. There is the possibility of fitting an appliance in that raises pallets allowing the thermoretractile film to fix itself on the lowest part of pallets.

Bag station (2 models):
501 : for pre-cut pallet covers on rolls. The hood is separated at the perforation.
561 M : for gusseted tubing. Each bag is made at the necessary height (electro-pneumatic sealing and cutting ; motorised film winding down).

It’s a stretch cold extension machine with extensible film as far as a tubular coil, a model with one coil. The cover fitting is suitable for every type of product because there are not flames or warm air. This plant links the thermoretractiles qualities concerning the pallets seal, the protection against some atmospheric agents (water and dust) and the practical use of the extensible film. This machine is available in four models, according to the customers needs.

INSTANT RING SHRINK HOODING MACHINE T120
The T120 thermo-shrinking oven conveys partially recycled hot air on the product, through a fully insulated stainless steel ring air duct.
The overhanging hood conveys the heat, thus improving the thermoshrinking process while reducing the fuel consumption. The oven consumes energy only during the actual working stage and it uses low pressure gas without free flames. Supplied with intrinsic safety measures, the machine complies with the norms and directives in force.
The oven is fitted with two gas burners which may operate indifferently with either METHANE or GPL (to be specified at ordering time); by heating the air fed into a fully insulated stainless steel ring duct, we obtain the thermo-shrinking of film without a direct contact with the flame.
A special hood installed over the ring collects the combustion gases and exhausts them through a dedicated telescopic chimney; the hood also retains heat and facilitates its circulation on pallet during the thermo-shrinking process.

COMBINED SHRINK HOODING MACHINE IC-10
Two-real combined hooding and shrinking machine. It automatically forms tubular film hoods and places them over palletised products. The machine may put hoods on pallets with different heights, and is able to work with two film sizes. Automatic selection of one reel or the other allows processing of pallets with widely different base dimensions, even in random sequence, with optimum results in terms of packaging appearance and cost-effectiveness. Extremely simple and reliable, its compact size makes it easy to install in existing handling lines. Complete with four gas burners producing a flameless flow of hot air, individually controlled by a flame control system with safety solenoid valve, guaranteeing perfect combustion and preventing the emission of unburnt gases into the environment. The special distribution of the combustion air inside the burner ensures excellent stability, and thus perfect shrinking, in a single work-station. The machine conforms to current regulations.

Two-in-one machine The DUO AT53 model is the result of the experience acquired in the production of hundreds of combined hooding machines, using a patented system for the preparation, opening and positioning of hoods taken from tubular film with side bellow sections. Using an arc hot air generator it is possible to obtain hooded and perfectly heatshrunk packs resistant to atmospheric agents, with maximum operational efficiency in a single and truly compact operational unit of limited space.
- The hood preparation takes place at the side of the hot air generator, this means that the tubular film is in no way affected by the heat, furthermore the fact that the bag formation, hooding and heat shrinking phases occur simultaneously translates into faster cycle times and increased productivity;
- The lower edge of the hood is fitted under the bottom of the product stretched by four pegs to make the best possible use of the actual material, and also making material saving possible making it possible to use a tubular reel of reduced perimeter. Four jets of compressed air inflate the bag during arc descent thereby facilitating the positioning and eventual sliding of the film over the upper edges of the pack;
- The film is secured to the base of the product thanks to a suction device therefore avoiding a ballooning effect as the result of the expansion of the air actually inside the bag during heating and heat shrinking.

The fully automatic MSK Tensiontech F stretch hood applicator with its special film stretching process makes it possible for all the common sizes of industrial pallets to be packed with just one film tube. The stretching of the film is regulated in a targeted manner for each pallet size so that optimum load securing properties are achieved in each case.

The wrapping system with Metral stretchable plastic wrap provides the best value-for-money on the market, thanks to the film lengthening that is obtained. It can be installed in reduced spaces, does not require the generation of heat by combustion and can reach production rates of 100 pallets/hour.
Another advantage is the ease with which it can be adapted to existing lines.

The pallet stretch hooding machine enables the protection and stabilisation of palletized loads by the application of an elastic hood on 5 sides.
The hood is manufactured from a polyethylene tubular film with a gusset. It is cut to the length corresponding to the measured height of the pallet.
The hood is mechanically stretched to then be released over the load.
This method of hood application is particularly important because it does not use any heat source (the hood is not shrunk) and at a clearly lower operating cost than that of shrink wrapping.

Pallet security with shrink-wrap film has proven its area of application for very heavy shipping units and multiple pallet handling.
The film cover, which becomes very stiff after shrinking, especially in the case of greater film-thicknesses, withstands considerable stress caused by accelerative forces. Möllers has developed film-shrinking technology with many advances since its beginnings and has gained the reputation of a technology leader in this field.

This process is advised for very unstable loads, weatherproofing requirements and strong storage constraints.
It consists in forming a hood thanks to a sealing process from a film's reel of a big diameter (usually 1 000 mmm) and to dispose it on the load.
With the shrink technology, once the hood has been disposed and the film heated, the hood is being shrinked so that it suits the best the load.

The stretchood machine is especially designed for pallets loaded with sacks or big bags. The stretchood is absolutely waterproof and therefore gives optimal protection against all weather conditions as well as localised dust ingress. Stretching the hood utilises "film memory" which provides pallet load stabilisation for more assured transportation.

Möllers automatic transverse stretch hooders use the security potential of the stretch film in the most effective way: The tubular film hood is radially stretched to the drawn width, with the resultant retractive force the film is tightened around the pallet load during positioning. Through the development of the patented High-Expander and Ultrastretch technologies Möllers was able to significantly improve the transverse stretch hood process.
With the highly extensible films used here considerably higher tensile strengths have been achieved, which significantly improve the load integrity and the bond between load and pallet compared to the stretch films originally used. Further advantages of the modern stretch process are the suitability of a single tubular film width for all usual pallet formats and the reduced film consumption of up to 30 %.
