These machines are equipped either with ROSA SYSTEM VII CNC (Siemens Sinumerik 840 Di) control-unit or a NC SYSTEM VI (Siemens Sinumerik 840 Di) control-unit. The wheel-head has an interchangeable cartridge. It is built of ground and hardened case-steel and runs on a quadruple gang and a pair of opposed angular precision bearings. Inside of the spindle, there is an automatic system for changing the grinding wheel having a clamping device and a balancing device for the wheel.

With SATURN double-disc surface grinding, two vertical grinding wheels simultaneously grind the workpiece on its parallel outer surfaces. The grinding wheels are set against each other at a slightly conical angle, so that as it passes from top to bottom, the workpiece retains its final dimension only in the bottom section of the grinding path. Because the workpieces are fed vertically between the grinding wheels, the bearing weight of the workpiece does not affect the grinding result. What’s more, the
coolant can simply drain downwards together with the removed material. The SATURN range comprises three
different machining processes:

It is equipped with the ROSA SYSTEM N unit, but it is also available in the NC version SYSTEM VI (Siemens Sinumerik 840 Di). Six models are available whose rotary table diameter of D=400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500 mm.

The constructive characteristics of this horizontal spindle
grinding machine are remarkable.
The structure of the machine, verified with the finit elements
method is completely made of Meehanite cast iron, is
oversized and properly ribbed, in order to give the maximum
stiffness to the system.
The hydrostatic lubrication , used on all machine axes,
allows to utilize in the best well way the whole power
installed, eliminating completely sliding friction and securing,
at the same time, regular movements without wear and
stick-slip. Ground ball screws (ISO 3) with preloade nut assure
great precisions in movements.
The spindle is supported on the front side by an hydrodinamic
bearing of the Mackensen type without wear which
secures, in the time, the maximum geometric and working

The Thru-Feed Grinder TFG150
The Thru-Feed Grinder is a production flat machining process that does most everything a conventional double disc or vertical spindle grinder can do and a great deal more.
The Thru-feed grinder is the most efficient method known for high production surface grinding of small to mid size parts because it practically eliminates non-productive time. With the Thru-Feed Grinder, all machine time is grinding time, little is lost on fixturing and preparation such as set-up, and loading and unloading of parts. Parts of almost any material and shape are fed into the Thru-Feed Grinder via a conveyor belt passing beneath a grinding wheel and finished parts are discharged continuously. It’s truly a high production grinding system.

S 375 GX
The S 375 G is a modular-structured, extremely flexible machine tool solution, ideal for single pass creep feed profile grinding of external spur and helical gears, crown gears and shafts, worms, rotors and screw threads. Optionally it is also possible to grind spur or helical internal gears.
The GX version of this machine is engineered with a longer machine bed and, depending on the dressing unit chosen, it can mount workpieces of up to 650 mm in length.
Other strengths of this machine are rapid format change and incredible versatility when it comes to combining machining and dressing methods. As regards tools, the machine may mount CBN grinding wheels, ceramic grinding wheels, dressable CBN grinding wheels and dressable ceramic grinding wheels.

The traveling column plane surface grinding machine of the MAXI line are advanced technology machines designed and built to assure high production capacity, precision and reliability. The T-structure of the highest rigidità is made from stress-relieved Meehanite cast iron. All machine axis slideways (table, column and wheelhead) are hydrostatic. The hydrostatic lubrication, eliminating sliding friction, allows to use all the power installed and to achieve extremely regular and precise movements without wear and stickslip effects.
The spindle (original DELTA design) is the fruit of many years of study and experimentations, and is one of
DELTA grinding machine strong points. The spindle, directly driven via coupling by a servoventilated motor,
is supported on the wheel side by a no-wear hydrodynamic bearing of the Mackensen type providing for very
smooth rotation and very quiet operation. A pair of preloaded precision ball bearings are mounted at the back.
