Tilt switches are used to sense movement (tilt) of a device above and below a horizontal axis. The angle through which the switch must move for proper operation – the differential angle – is measured from the point of just make to just break; it is specified as a maximum. Some applications include: thermostats, level controls, appliances, security alarm systems, toys and games, float switches and water-treatment equipment (non-mercury)
Tip-over switches sense tilt over 360° of a vertical axis. A common use is in portable heaters used in the home to prevent electrical shock or fire. When the heater tilts more than a specified angle, the switch operates turning the heater off. This angle, called the operating angle, describes the angle from vertical to the point of contact operation. Both normally closed (tilt to open) and normally open (tilt to close) switches are available. Some additional applications include: portable lamps, PC anti-theft devices, vending-machine alarms and machinery security systems

These new products have been designed with shapes and fixing perfectly interchangeable with the previous ones and with various additional functions useful to extend the applicatory field.
The main innovation of this series is the tripping device evolved and modern, with qualitative features higher than solutions present on the market.
The electrical contact on new microswitch has been realized with higher reliability technology, thanks to the double and redundant shape, and has the possibility to carry out operations with positive opening.
The housing of the new microswitch provides the possibility to seat gaskets in order to seal the device against fine dusts or liquids up to IP65 degree.
Fastening terminals of conductors are more practical and allow the fixing of different diameter cables or the possibility to choice different bends of faston contacts. For high quantity it’s possible to supply the microswitch only with the contact NO or NC, in order to minimize purchase costs. |

As a technology, the Reed Switch is unique. Being hermetically sealed, it can exist or be used in almost any environment. Very simple in its structure, it crosses many technologies in its manufacture. Critical to its quality and reliability is its glass to metal hermetic seal, where the glass and metal used must have exact linear thermal coefficients of expansion. Otherwise, cracking and poor seals will result. Whether sputtered or plated, the process of applying the contact material, usually Rhodium or Ruthenium, must be carried out precisely in ultra clean environments similar to semiconductor technology. Like semiconductors, any foreign particles present in the manufacture will give rise to losses, quality and reliability problems.
Over the years, the Reed Switch has shrunk in size from approximately 50 mm (2 inches) to 6 mm (0.24 inches). These smaller sizes have opened up many more applications particularly in RF and fast time domain requirements. |

Reversing systems enable for using of electric motors in two rotary directions and also they are suitable for Automatic Transfer Switch Systems (network-network).
Reversing systems consist of the following elements:
- two 3-poles contactors with the similar dimensions from series CRNI09...CRNI38 (4...18,5 kW), where two phases are changed,
- additional auxiliary contacts CRI20-10 (1N/O),
- mechanical latches CRI-410,- set of connection wires designed for reversing systems - bottom and top connection 3RA 1923-2A or 3RA 1933,
Reversing systems enable easy, fast and dependable wire connection.
Starting characteristics are suitable to characteristics of directly starters.
Applications with the adequate safety devices reversing systems are very advantageous to save compact space of branching with fuses or without fuses.
