Manufactured from Stainless Steel, Bulgin’s extensive range of vandal resistant security switches are designed with a high resistance to wear and tear, corrosion and harsh use in potentially hostile environments such as access control applications.
The front and rear panel mounted versions have three profiles – prominent, domed and low profile – with a choice of switching and IP66 & 68 front panel sealing that, combined together, meet the ergonomic, electrical and environmental demands of switch panel design. And where the ultimate strength of steel is not needed, there is a brass, chrome plated alternative. The low profile style switches are now also available with a latching, push on - push off, action.
The illuminated versions, available in dot and ring indication and a variety of illumination colours, are new to the range and will add that extra dimension to control panel layouts.
Other switch types include conventional push-button and toggle switches.

The XA and XW series of Emergency Stop switches include a revolutionary new technology called "safe break action" that will change the way E-Stop switches are designed. This innovative concept provides greater levels of human safety and is the first of its kind in the world.
Conventional E-Stop switches are designed with spring pressure on the Normally Closed (NC) contacts, keeping them in the closed position and allowing the machine to operate. Improper installation or excessive force to the stop button in an emergency may break or dislodge a vital part, causing the spring loaded contact to stay closed. This situation renders the E-Stop incapable of stopping the machine and can lead to catastrophic events, personal injury and possible loss of life.

From miniature pilot lights and switches that mount into 8mm panel cut outs through full size industrial switches that mount into 30mm cutouts, we have a switch or indicator for almost any application. Terminations include solder / quick connect terminals, screw terminals, or PC board pins for direct board mounting. Miniature models use snap action gold plated contacts for superior low level switching, whereas larger models use slow-make, double break contacts for switching heavier loads, up to 10A. Many models offer the flexibility of modular construction, which allows you to change contacts, lamp voltages or button colors easily.
