Rotary fittings are self-contained and self-supporting rotary professional seals used to transfer fluids such as steam, water air or oil, to and from rotating machinery.
Standard units are of steel and iron construction with specials available in, for example, stainless steel and nickel alloys for chemically aggresive fluids or food quality applications.
The range of standard models in three basic types for single or dual flow are available with a choice of ball bearings supplier for temperatures up to 160 degrees celsius and with plain cylindrical carbon manufacturers of bearings for temperatures of 100 degrees celsius up to 300 degrees celsius. Pressure range is 70 bar with rotational speeds up to 5000 rpm. In many instances it is possible to exceed these conditions after first consulting the Filton technical department for advice. |
|
Air Precision has also developped a range of standard electrical slip rings : EEG, T13 and T20.
They use the same "gold" technology as custom-built slip rings and therefore have excellent electrical qualities and are easily adaptable thanks to interchangeable mechanical interfaces.
Derivates of those standard slip rings are also available.

MID has developed a new variable geometry coupling, which can swivel through 360 degrees: the DynaVariacor®. This internationally patented system provides in particular complete flexibility for use with all types of hoses.
The coupling is robust, light and compact; it reduces wear and avoids coiling of the feed professional hose. When it use with a nozzle manufacturers this coupling enables increased precision of movement by reducing the handling force required by the user, due to the relative rigidity of the feed pipes. Operator comfort is improved. The DynaVariacor® products have useful features: the interior cross-section of the coupling remains constant at all angles, so pressure loss is minimised and flow rates are naturally optimum.
As well as air, these couplings are suitable for water, oil, petrol and hydrocarbons, and even powders. Many applications are therefore possible. For example, with fire hose or with rigid pipe : ŕ load arm is then easy to make. The system is available in several sizes and professional fittings for a variety of uses.
