Developed originally as part of the TODO-MATIC® coupling construction then subsequently as a stand alone product, the TODO® swivel has proved itself in the toughest applications for over 20 years.
Used mainly to allow free hose movement without imparting torque stresses to the assembly (one of the biggest causes of premature hose failure).
# Simple design, low maintenance
# Very compact
# High flow rate / low pressure drop
# Full range of sizes, materials and connections
# Stainless steel bearings and single 'O' ring seal for realibility

Technical Description
Can be used in hydraulic systems where rotating connections are essential, for example on accessories with rotating movements. Depending on design, the body is made of brass (TDG) or steel (TKR) and the rotating axis of surface-purified/stainless steel.
Maximum rotation speed: 60 r.p.m.
Advantages
Rotating joints minimise the high wear to the hose, which occurs in hydraulic systems. Solid construction with two plain bearings (TDG) or ball/roller bearings (TKR). Suitable for combining with norm hydraulic components.
Working Temperature*
-20°C up to +100°C (NBR)
depending on the medium.
FKM on request.

The Rotary Joint device allows electrical and pneumatic lines from the robot to feed through to the tool — keeping air and electrical lines on the robot from twisting. The Rotary Joint has two components: fixed and rotating. The rotating component consists of the robot adaptor, tool adaptor, and a central connecting core. The fixed component is a central ring which is held stationary by a torque rod attached to a fixed part of the robot arm.
Lines are attached between the fixed component and your robot controller. As the robot moves, the fixed lines do not twist. Advanced slip ring technology is
used to pass fixed lines to the rotating component and then to your tool— so as your robot moves, electrical signals and pneumatic pressure pass from the robot to the tool preventing the lines from twisting. With many different sizes, this device can be easily integrated onto almost any robot.

Deublin Offers a full range of Rotary Unions with Ball Bearings. Some are sealed and do not require any lubrication while others have a gease nipple and require periodic lubrication.
|
|
Air Precision has also developped a range of standard electrical slip rings : EEG, T13 and T20.
They use the same "gold" technology as custom-built slip rings and therefore have excellent electrical qualities and are easily adaptable thanks to interchangeable mechanical interfaces.
Derivates of those standard slip rings are also available.

MID has developed a new variable geometry coupling, which can swivel through 360 degrees: the DynaVariacor®. This internationally patented system provides in particular complete flexibility for use with all types of hoses.
The coupling is robust, light and compact; it reduces wear and avoids coiling of the feed hose. When it use with a nozzle this coupling enables increased precision of movement by reducing the handling force required by the user, due to the relative rigidity of the feed pipes. Operator comfort is improved. The DynaVariacor® products have useful features: the interior cross-section of the coupling remains constant at all angles, so pressure loss is minimised and flow rates are naturally optimum.
As well as air, these couplings are suitable for water, oil, petrol and hydrocarbons, and even powders. Many applications are therefore possible. For example, with fire hose or with rigid pipe : à load arm is then easy to make. The system is available in several sizes and fittings for a variety of uses.
