ROSCAMAT 6000 - Capacity M2-M27 (M33)
The machine is formed by a tilting arm being by means of a pneumatic spring, said arm being fitted through an intermediary union to a radial arm being revolvable around 360º. The assembly is secured to the workbench by means of a base plate being provided with a post clearing the whole table area. The motor head finds itself at the end of the tilting arm and is apt to always move at right angles with respect to its working area.
The turning motor speed and the automatic lubrication control are adjustable by means of three buttons located on top of the motor cover. The modular system is apt to be fitted to the electronic motor and consists of 5 quick-change planetary speed reducers providing 5 different speeds and torques. The speed can be thus adapted to every thread type.
The toolholders (or tap holders) with or without safety clutch are also apt to be fitted to the modules by means of a quick-change system.

Roscamat 9001NC - Capacity M3-M36 (M42)
Along the same lines as with the pneumatic models, the machine is made up of a pendular parallelogram being balanced by an air spring plus a radial arm. The assembly being made up of both members fixes the motor head and keeps it in a position being perpendicular to the working area.
The electronically controlled motor is provided with a numerical control (NC) system. The unit is apt to be operated in manual or automatic mode in such a way that it allows to configure an control by means of a six-key keyboard being arranged at the top of the motor such aspects as:
- Right- and left-hand turning control
- Thread type (Metric, Whitworth, etc.)
- Depth control
- Time of tool lubrication
- Type of material, resistance
- Tapping speed
A set of 6 reducer modules are apt to be fitted to the motor output by means of a quick-change system and allow to adjust the tapping speed as a function of the metric pitch to mechanise.
Said modules incorporate as well a quick-change system being apt to receive the tap holder with or without safety clutch.

Roscamat 500RH; Capacity M2-M24 (M27)
This is the genuine unit to work in any position in space therewith always maintaining the perpendicularity to the desired plane irrespective of the arm position.
The machine consists of a radial arm supporting both articulated arms that can be regulated by means of the regulating valves. The multiposition head is a double swivel joint device allowing to lock and unlock both its swivel pins to thus position the head and keep it quite blocked in order to thus operate in any position in space.
The head mechanism is formed by a cam system with an equaliser and disc springs applying a load of 1,000 Kg to two cone sets locking both pins.
The radial arm incorporates a chain drive, which is activated or deactivated by means of a face-toothed coupling half according to the intended working position.
The machine incorporates an air servicing unit (filter + regulator lubricator) for the correct operation of the motor.
The modular system consisting in a series of 7 quick-change modules (reducers) is provided for coupling to said motor. As a result of this 7 output speeds (90, 170, 300, 550, 750, 1050 and 2100 rpm) are available thus allowing to adapt the tap speed to every type of thread.
The modular system admits the quick-change tap holders with or without safety clutch depending on the intended job (blind or through holes). Threading capacity from M3 up to M2 to M24 (M27).

GSE K1 K2 K3
TAPPING UNITS
Highly dynamic multi-use NC tapping units for limited spaces
Our patented, maintenance free units GSE K1, K2 and K3 stand out for their wide range of application and extremely short conversion times. As independent process modules these devices can be used both on Bihler machines and in presses, switching table automatics, assembly and transfer lines for cutting and forming internal threads up to M20. Their flat and compact design which is due to the newly developped NC servo hollow shaft motor allows installation even in case of small tool mounting hights as well as the arrangement of several K-types side by side. Furthermore the working stroke without pitch leader guarantees high endurance of the tools.

- The leadscrew assembly is permanently lubricated in an oil bath. Simple installation of leadscrew assembly by removing
4 screws at the front of the unit.
- Front and rear stroke adjustments are accomplished with 2 screws which are located at the rear of motor drive housing at the tapping unit GEM8.
- An integrated safety device protects against excessive start-up cutting forces.
- Adjustable motor housing 4x90°.
- Variable spindle speed combinations through interchangeable push-on pulleys. See speed selection table section 9.
- Quick-change adapters AD-00 for tapping. See section 7, page 7.3. |

The Pullmatic 720/520 can be equipped with a fully automatic tapping unit to further more increase time and cost savings. Two alternatives are available, single unit with one spindle for taps M3 to M8 and a multi unit with 6 spindles, the single tapping unit demands manual tap charges. Both units are fully controlled by the machines CNC.
Both units are mounted on the sides of the upper frame, this design do not require a tool station which further more increases the flexibilty of the Pullmatic series punching machines.
Process:
Pre-punch and if required extrusion of the hole in thin material.
Material positioned automatically to the tapping unit.
The tapping unit automatically taps the hole/extrusion.
Advantages:
Weld and insert nuts used today, increases the number of operations to finish the part, thereby increasing the production cost per part.
Shorter process time with less production time per part, which improves machine time availability.
By utilizing extrusions in material thickness up to 3mm, the thread height will be equal to nut inserts.
Do not generate any chips from cutting the thread. |
