The SC-TOC-A has been tested extensively in the field by SWAN Environmental India, authorized Shimadzu Distributor for TOC. SWAN have approved this generator model to provide gas for both, NPOC and TC-IC Applications.
The generator operates on the principle of catalytic oxidation to effectively remove hydrocarbons (as CH4) to less than 0.1 ppm while 'Pressure Swing
Adsorption' Technology reduces the moisture content of the gas.

Peak ZA Generator, low CH4
The Peak Scientific's range of Zero Air Generators produces a constant flow of zero grade air with a hydrocarbon content (as methane) of less than 0.1
ppm and with flow rates of between 1,500 cc/min and 30,000 cc/min. The Zero Air Generators are available with and without internal air compressor and as 19" rack version.
A catalytic oxidation process is used to produce a continuous supply of gas with methane hydrocarbon concentration reduced to less than 0.1ppm. In this process, air from the incoming compressed air supply is heated to 400degrees Celsius and passed through a platinum catalyst chamber where the free carbon and hydrogen atoms combine with oxygen in the air to form carbon dioxide and water. The air is then passed through a cooling coil to reduce its temperature to a safe level.
The generators are simple to install and users can relax in the knowledge that this range of Peak Generators can be supported by one of the Peak Product Support Options.

The Parker Balston Zero Air Generator can produce up to 30,000 ml/min of high purity zero grade air. Compressed air is pre filtered down to 0.01 micron and then purified using a state-of-art combined heated catalyst module.
There are no moving parts and no noise, making the generator extremely reliable and ideal to install in the laboratory. Simple and quick to install, the Zero Air Generator requires minimal maintenance just once a year.
The resultant air is free of total hydrocarbons (THC) to < 0.05ppm making it ideal for all FID applications. The low levels guarantee a low signal to noise ratio, ensuring a flat constant base line with no peaks or fluctuations.
