ATC - Advanced Temperature Calibrator
Dry-block and liquid bath calibrators. The unique active dual-zone heating block is designed to ensure optimum temperature homogeneity in the calibration zone of the block. This design eliminates the major uncertainties due to heat loss through the sensor-under-test and from the top of the block. The dry-block design combined with the external reference sensor input make the ATC series as accurate as a laboratory calibrator but maintain the speed and portability of a dry-block.
The ATC measures the output from the sensor-under-test directly: Thermocouples, RTD, mV, mA, and V. There is no need for multiple instruments. The JOFRA ATC series saves time by performing automatic stand-alone calibrations. Just run the downloaded work orders from the JOFRACAL calibration software. After completion of the work orders, the results may be downloaded into the computer for analysis, filing, and printing of certificates.

Techne is a World leader in the manufacture of temperature controlled equipment from DNA testing with our
Thermal cyclers and Hybridisation ovens to Laboratory equipment such as our Water baths and Dri-Block
heaters. Techne also manufacture Industrial Fluidised Baths to remove residues from plastic mould tooling in
the industrial sector through to precision Fluidised Calibration baths and Dri-Block Calibrators.
The New Tecal 1200S Dri-Block Calibrator has now been introduced to extend the temperature range of our
Tecal Dri-Block calibrators. This unit has market leading stability and uniformity performance with easily
interchangeable insert blocks.
Wide Temperature range
The Tecal 1200S is designed to provide very
accurate and repeatable thermal calibration
between 150°C and 1200°C for a wide variety of
thermocouples and other temperature sensors in
industries such as glass manufacture, power
generation, automotive and material processing.
This rugged, economically priced portable
thermocouple calibration furnace is supplied with a
NIST traceable certificate or can additionally be
supplied with a UKAS certification. The unit
provides excellent stabilities to within ±0.1°C and
has display accuracy of better than ±3°C between
300 and 1200°C.
Special heater block design
The Tecal 1200S Block calibrator utilises a special
heater design for optimum temperature uniformity
and rapid heating rates. The heating system
consists of heater elements embedded in
lightweight vacuum-formed ceramic fibre mouldings
which allows faster heating rates and extends the
working life above other ceramic tube designs which have heater elements wrapped around a
ceramic tube. An isothermal block assembly is
machined from a special alloy giving excellent
thermal conductivity and also resists hightemperature
oxidation.
This block is designed to optimise performance
between sufficient mass for good stability and
uniformity and to have a low enough mass to have
rapid heating/cooling rates and short stabilisation
periods.

Calibration of humitiy and temperature measurement instruments is an important item. Humidity probes from all sectors of economy should be calibrated and- if necessary- be adjusted on a regular time schedule. ROTRONIC offers a vast choice of accessories for that purpose. Certified humidity standards, calibration devices for different probe types or mobile, fully autonomous humidity generators are just a few of them. These are of special interest for customer engineers and inspection equipment responsibles, who demand traceable and precise values.

Recently, we introduced Metrology Wells, which provide the very best performance in portable temperature calibration. The new 914X Series Field Metrology Wells extend high performance to the industrial process environment by maximizing portability, speed, and functionality with little compromise to metrology performance.
Field Metrology Wells are packed with functionality and are remarkably easy to use. They are lightweight, small, and quick to reach temperature set points, yet they are stable, uniform, and accurate. These industrial temperature loop calibrators are perfect for performing transmitter loop calibrations, comparison calibrations, or simple checks of thermocouple sensors. With the “process” option, there is no need to carry additional tools into the field. This optional built-in two-channel readout reads resistance, voltage, and 4–20 mA current with 24 volt loop power. It also has on-board documentation. Combined, the three models (9142, 9143, and 9144—each with a “process” option) cover the wide range of –25 °C to 660 °C.
High performance for the industrial environment
Field Metrology Wells are designed for the industrial process environment. They weigh less than 8.2 kg (18 lb) and have a small footprint, which makes them easy to transport. Optimized for speed, Field Metrology Wells cool to –25 °C in 15 minutes and heat to 660 °C in 15 minutes.
Field environment conditions are typically unstable, having wide temperature variations. Each Field Metrology Well has a built-in gradient-temperature compensation (patent pending) that adjusts control characteristics to ensure stable performance in unstable environments. In fact, all specifications are guaranteed over the
environmental range of 13 °C to 33 °C.

The CE-350 is a low-cost alternative to the Tecal 425S where routine checking of RTD and thermocouples is all that is required. For such applications, it is important that the unit is very portable (only weighs 1.5kg) and can calibrate the sensors as quickly as possible (can heat and cool over the temperature range in a matter of minutes). Typical applications where the CE-350 can be used are in checking fire alarm detectors, industrial ovens, dryers, etc.

SIKA Precision Temperature Calibrators, TP 38 000 / TP 38 000 E series
Calibrating with every convenience
Working more cost-effectively, safely and reliably in the range from -30°C to 600°C
Thermometers, thermocouples and other temperature sensors are subject to mechanical, thermal and chemical stresses especially in industrial use. This leads with increasing time to a drift that is not predictable.
Since the temperature in industrial processes has become one of the most important indicators of quality, operating safety and service life, the calibration of temperature sensors on site has achieved special importance.
Inaccurate temperature measurements reduce product quality, increase the risk of failure and lead to increased energy consumption.
Only the regular calibration of the sensors provides information on the difference between actual and measured temperature and thus makes the specific drift behaviour visible.

Liquid and odd/big size sensor calibration
Two models of the ATC series (ATC-140 and ATC-250) fitted with a 160 mm deep well with a diameter of 63.5 mm (2.5 in) can be used both as dry-block calibrators and as liquid calibration baths with a magnetic stirrer.
A liquid bath and a dry-block diameter of 63.5 mm (2.5 in), which is twice the size of any other JOFRA dry-block, are both new in the JOFRA product range. With these options it is now possible to calibrate even more temperature sensors at the same time and to calibrate large as well as odd sizes and shapes of sensors, which were not possible to calibrate in the existing range. The compromise compared to the existing models is longer cooling, heating and stabilization times.
ATC-140 & ATC-250 can be used without an external reference sensor, but if a STS-100 reference sensor is connected directly to a B version or the JOFRA reference thermometer DTI-1000, you obtain better accuracies and thereby use the full potential of the calibrators.

The UniCAL is a isolated calibration bath of stainless stell for operation using water, alcohol or transfer oil as temperature regulation liquid. The temperature level is controlled by a Unistat connected to it using hoses and is therewith limited. This results in good mixing characteristics and a homogeneous temperature distribution within the bath.

Techne® SB series Fluidized baths operate from ambient to 600°C, and provide a working environment that is dry, easily accessible, and free from the dangers associated with high temperature oil or salt baths. Our fluidized baths are bench standing, requiring only an electrical and air supply for operation.
Air passes through the mass of the AL2O3 particles via a porous plate in the base of the unit separating the
individual particles and suspending them in free air, providing the properties of a liquid bath. Heaters in the bath
maintain temperatures of up to 600°C. All SB Series Baths incorporate stainless steel inner containers insulated
from outer walls, and a safety air pressure switch in the event of loss of air.
Baths are controllable to within +/-1°C, making them ideal as general purpose high temperature environments for
comparison calibration, metal treatment, distillation, and other high temperature applications.
All Fluidized baths are supplied with an initial charge of
aluminum oxide fluidizing media and overspill flange.
