The temperature control DTC 110 regulates the temperature of the laser diode to better than 1 mK and can also be used to fine-tune the laser wavelength (typical tuning sensitivity of commercial laser diodes: 0.1 - 0.3 nm / °C). The set value of the temperature is adjusted by a precision potentiometer.
The standard temperature range of the DTC 110 is 0°C to 50°C (15-40°C for DL 100). Bipolar control (heating / cooling) allows fast and stable controlling, even at conditions close to room temperature. In case a user wishes to employ the DTC 110 in a more general control task, e.g. to balance the temperature of nonlinear crystals, a special version of the DTC 110 with an extended temperature range (-50°C ... 150°C) and/or setpoint velocity limiter is available from TOPTICA Photonics.
