Design and fabrication of our industrial sensors correspond
with the technical standard of DIN 43770. Our sensors can
be divided into two groups, depending on the measurement
method used.
Resistance thermometer
Resistance thermometer have a defined resistance value
at 0°C which alters, depending on temperature.
This alteration is presented as temperature value.
Thermo couples
Thermo couples consist of two different metal wires which
are welded together at one point. When the weld spot is
heated, a thermal voltage is generated at the open ends
of the wires which provides the temperature measurement.
The sensors have a modular design and consist of
• a connection head
• a protective tube
• a replaceable measurement insert.
The connection head for wiring is the standard head of shape B. The protective tube and the measurement insert of the sensor vary, depending on application conditions and temperature range.

Autoclave Chamber/Load Probe (SL160) Sensor :
The SL160 series of autoclave chamber/load probe sensors are similar to the SL150 series, but differ in having a 90° bend and a chisel point to allow penetration of the product bottle seal.
When mounting a load probe with a straight sheath into a product bottle/container in an autoclave it is often difficult to achieve the desirable orientation. This is often due to both the weight of the probe lead wire and its restrictive bending radius. The SL160 is designed to circumvent this by having a 90° bend in the probe sheath. The addition of a chisel point at the probe tip also allows it to be inserted with relative ease through the bottle seal it there is one.
The SL160 chamber/load probes are currently being fitted as original equipment by a major autoclave manufacturer.

A critical indication of the status of bearings on large rotating plant is provided by their running temperature.
Monitoring bearings in this manner provides the ability to recognise any possible upward trend in bearing temperature. This in turn allows for a regime of planned preventative maintainance to be put in place, offsetting the possibility of catastrophic plant failure.
Due to its small physical size the miniature bearing sensor can be positioned close to the bearing surface allowing it to sense any early change in temperature.
These devices are available in both thermocouple and PT100 resistance thermometer format and can be supplied as either single or duplex sensors. The sensor lead wire insulation is in PTFE or glass fibre and lead wire jackets can be protected with stainless steel outer braid.

Miniature Bearing Sensors are designed to monitor temperature of embedded bearings critical to machine performance in industrial rotating equipment. The most reliable indicator of bearing condition is the temperature of the metal beneath the bearing shoe. Rising temperatures indicates the breakdown of the lubricating oil film. Quick identification of this condition allows machine shutdown and maintenance to occur before catastrophic failure of the bearing itself. Typical applications for bearing sensors include motors, turbines, pumps, gear boxes and other journal bearing pedestals.

This can extend from a simple thermocouple in a benign environment to a complex multi sensor configuration with electronic transmission. It could also be located in an aggressive environment and in an area nominated as being hazardous.
To meet these varying needs we produce a full range of appropriate products. Through careful selection of materials, design and construction (based on the temperature and the environment) we are able to advise the most appropriate solution to your application. This could be from a standard arrangement or custom built.
With our commercial arrangements with other instrument manufacturers we are able to supply a complete instrumentation package when required, from the sensor itself to the indicator, recorder, data logger or other peripheral equipment.
Certificates of Conformity, material certificates and calibration certificates for all products are available at the time of placing an order.

This micro-module, designed to quantify the relative humidity level and the temperature in the ambient atmosphere, delivers a variable frequency proportional to the humidity, associated to a resistive temperature sensor (thermistor NTC).
Designed using SPSI UPSICAP MSS BI-face technology, this module integrates the humidity sensor created in-situ on the upper side of the substrate and on the lower side, the temperature sensor, the electronic transmitter and the plug-in connector.
This internationally patented technology is a major step forward in the field of sensor-transmitters with long-term stability and reduction of mass production cost.

HITY 2000 is based on impedance measurement rather than the capacitive method used by other systems. This technology offers an extremely high degree of resistance against aggressive chemical gases and provides stability for as long as 5 years, depending on the medium. The sensor reacts to humidity changes much faster than average.

Miniature Bearing (MBS) Sensor
A critical indication of the status of bearings on large rotating plant is provided by their running temperature.
Due to its small physical size the miniature bearing sensor can be positioned close to the bearing surface allowing it to sense any early change in temperature.
These devices are available in both thermocouple and PT100 resistance thermometer format and can be supplied as either single or duplex sensors. The sensor lead wire insulation is in PTFE and if necessary lead wire jackets can be protected with stainless steel outer braid.
BSWS Bearing sensor wire seal assemblies are low temperature/low pressure glands for embedded sensors to prevent oil wicking along the sensor leads. They seal on the individual insulated leads exiting an oil-filled bearing housing.
Typical aplications are motors, turbines, pumps & journal bearing pedestals.

Freeze Dryer (FD100) Sensor :
The FD100 freeze dryer sensor was designed to measure very small volumes of liquid product, typically like those found in lyophilizers.
When attempting to accurately measure the temperature of small volumes of product such as that contained in a pharmaceutical vial, temperature conductance can affect the result. This is due to the relatively large mass of the sensor sheath compared to the volume of product being measured.
The FD100 sensor was designed to reduce this effect and is achieved by building a thermal break between the sensing tip and the main probe stem. Temperature conductance is kept to a minimum and the positioning of the face of the miniature detector ensures an optimum time response.

Miniature Quartz Temperature Sensor
The TS Quartz Temperature Sensors are tuning-fork quartz crystals vibrating in a torsional mode. They are designed so that their frequency is both extremely sensitive to temperature and highly linear. For example, the 172.0 kHz design has a sensitivity of roughly +46.4 ppm/OC. This high sensitivity offers the ability to detect fine changes in temperature—the degree depending on the implementation. Further, this frequency-based technique has the advantage of being immune to amplitude noise in the measurement system—a feature not shared by thermocouple, thermistor, or RTD based temperature sensing techniques. Lastly, remote temperature sensing is possible by using an antenna to pick up the frequency of the EM waves emitted by the sensor.
FEATURES
- Frequency-based sensing
- High shock resistance
- Low aging
- Designed and manufactured in the USA

Accuracy is typically ±0.5°C at room temperature, and better than ±2°C from 0 to 75°C.
FM50 is available in a 3-pin SOT-23 package.
