Product Description:
Libratherm offers Relative Humidity and Temperature transmitter model HTX-3000 for measuring and transmitting the analogue and digital values proportional to these two parameters. HTX-3000 is designed using the latest micro-controller, incorporating Pt-100 class A element for temperature sensing and Monolithic sensor for %RH sensing. The two independent loop current outputs of 4-20mA proportional to both the parameters are available for remote measurement and indication. To suit industrial requirement the transmitter is available in both duct type and wall mounting type
assembly, and for the local indication of %RH and Temperature, two independent 4 digit 7 segment red LED displays are provided. For serial interface with PLC or DCS or with any other process controller digital serial communication on RS485 bus with MODBUS RTU protocol in slave mode is also provided. Using RS 485 interface is advantageous, since number of wires as with the three wire of 4-20mA per transmitter can be avoided (3 wires multiply by no. of transmitters), since only two wires can be looped with multiple transmitters in multi-drop wiring. These transmitters finds application in HVAC, Climatic control, Stability chamber, Hospitals, Green houses, useful for Validation agencies and for regulatory requirement of FDA, CGMP, ISO14644 etc

Product Description:
Libratherm offers micro-controller based Process Transmitter model PTX-3000 for measuring and transmitting the analogue and digital values proportional to the Process Input. It can accept the universal input, which is user selectable using internal DIP switch. Three options are available, where user can specify the model for universal input, any of the two fixed input or any of the single fixed input. The current output of 4-20mA proportional and linearized to the process input is available for remote measurement and indication. For dual input model, two independent 4-20mA are available. To suit industrial requirement the transmitters are available with and without display.
For serial interface with PLC or DCS or with any other process controller digital serial communication on RS485 bus with MODBUS RTU protocol in slave mode is also provided. Using the RS 485 interface is advantageous, since number of wires coming from the various sensors can be avoided and instead only two wires can be used to interface on serial port. For example, for a large heating system incorporating 16 thermocouples, under conventional method 16 dual core cables will run from the system to the control panel, where as in case of RS485 interface, only two wires will run from the system to the control panel.

Libratherm offers Miniature Head Mount Two wire Temperature Transmitter Model LTX-3000/H, which accepts (Pt-100) or thermocouple or variable resistance signal as the input and provides output of (4-20) mA proportional to mV or resistance values. These transmitters are extensively used to minimize the effect of electrical noise and to eliminate the need of long runs of special compensating and three wire cables since ordinary pair of copper wires can easily be used to transmit the measured temperature without the drop or loss of signal. In addition, transmitting the current signal is more advantageous, since it is less susceptible to industrial RFI/EMI noise compared to the voltage signal. These transmitters are linearly calibrated to the signal produced by a thermocouple or RTD sensors. LTX-3000/H can also be used with the level sensors, giving resistance change proportional to the level - to make the level transmitters.
LTX-3000 requires no separate power supply as it is powered by current drawn from the current loop itself and is thus intrinsically safe when used with appropriate barriers. It is very compact, economically priced and can be directly mounted inside standard heads of the thermocouple or RTD sensors. It can also be easily fitted inside the flame proof / weatherproof head or junction box. It is available for different thermocouples, RTD (Pt-100) duly calibrated for required temperature range with ZERO and SPAN adjustments for on site calibration. Long distance accuracy Temptran transmitters amplify the low-level signals from RTD's or thermocouples to an industry standard 4 to 20 mA current signal proportional to temperature. Unlike resistance or voltage, current signals are immune to resistance in extension wires and stray electrical noise. This lets you receive accurate signals from a sensor located thousands of feet away. The 4 to 20 mA output signal and DC power share the same wire pair. You don't need to run power wires to every sensor location. RTD transmitters also linearize the signal to temperature, making them excellent low cost signal conditioners.

The ST3000 Smart Transmitter is a microprocessor-
based smart transmitter that features high performance and excellent stability. Capable of measuring gas, liquid, and vapor, and liquid levels,
it transmits 4 to 20 mA DC analog and digital signals according to the measured differential pressure.
It can also execute two-way communications between the SFC (Smart Field Communicator) or HART® 275 communicator, and, via DE protocol,
with the TDCS3000 or 3000X and a database, thus facilitating self-diagnosis, range resetting, and automatic zero adjustment |

HumiTracTM features a NIST traceable, field-replaceable sensor tip module that allows the end user to replace the sensor on-site and maintain ±2% RH accuracy and NIST traceability. This virtually eliminates the need for time consuming and costly factory calibration, while reducing downtime during service intervals to near zero. HumiTracTM is designed to be highly configurable in the field - by minimizing the necessary number of orderable configurations, GE reduces distributor inventory costs and provides maximum flexibility to the installer. All versions feature field-selectable outputs (0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA) and passive temperature versions incorporate both a 3K and 10K O thermistors. Signal-conditioned temperature versions are available scaled from 0 to 50°C or -40 to 60°C. HumiTrac is available in humidity accuracies of ±2% or ±5%, and offered in wall mount, duct mount and outdoor air configurations.

| The Model 2A Thermocouple Sensor tube consists of a tube containing a filament heated by the passage of a constant current. A thermocouple is welded to the center of this heated element thereby providing a means of directly measuring the element temperature in terms of voltage output. For any constant value of current through the filament, the temperature of the filament increases as the pressure in the tube is reduced. The thermocouple voltage is directly proportional to the increased temperature of the filament, and thus generates an increase in voltage. Sensitive circuitry includes the thermocouple output directly in microns. The standard sensor tube has nickel-plated, forged-brass housing which makes it capable of withstanding 150 psi overpressure. All thermocouple elements are preoxidized under controlled conditions to provide interchangeability of tubes without recalibration. This process also provides high stability and minimizes the effect of contamination. Stainless steel versions are available. |

The Omnigrad range of Temperature Products from Endress Hauser meets the high standards required by the process industry.
Omnigrad provides Endress Hauser quality in design, documentation, logistics and service in Temperature Sensors.
A Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) is a temperature responsive device based on a predictable resistance change in the sensing element.
The EN 60751 standard specifies requirements for industrial Platinum resistance sensors and covers the Pt 100 thermometers.
The Pt 100 sensing element has a resistance of 100 Ohms at 0°C.
According to EN standard and most common industrial applications, the Pt 100 type sensors are used for temperature measurement and control in the range from -50°C to 400°C or -200°C to 600°C.
RTDs offer three main advantages:
high accuracy
excellent long-term stability
high signal output level which allows transmission over long distances without ancillary equipment.
Basic construction of Platinum resistance elements cannot be used directly in contact with process environments, hence the complete thermometers are built as assemblies which can withstand light, medium and heavy duty industrial conditions.
In general, the sensor assembly includes three components:
the resistance thermometer inset
the protecting tube (thermowell)
the terminal housing.
