Industrial terminal blocks
Schlegel terminal blocks are standard terminals for industrial application, particularly for electrical machine controls, for switchgear, distribution and industrial measuring systems as well as for the lift and apparatus construction. They are suitable for both heavy and low current at DC and AC.
The Schlegel product portfolio includes terminal blocks with different connection types - screw connections, spring cage connections and IDC technology (Insulation Displacement Connection - no stripping required!) - and all common nominal cross sections. Schlegel supplies the most advantageous 4mm² screw-type terminal which is most frequently demanded in this size range. Moreover, Schlegel screw-type terminal blocks are the smallest terminals on the market (for the respective connection diameter), referred to their height, their length (at right-angles to the rail) as well as their width (along to the rail). Compared to the competitors' products they ado have a relatively large clamping space.
The Schlegel screw-type terminal blocks (ref.: IK...) are equipped with a wire protecting contact bracket which is pressing the conductor onto the ground of the conductive clamping body by means of the clamping screw.
This system calls the "OSK" - Original SCHLEGEL Workholding system, because it is unique on the terminal block market. The wire protection ensures the so-called "six securities":
- Direct clamping force transmission onto the wire at full bearing manufacturer of the clamping screw
- Protection of the wire (no piercing or damaging by the screw)
- Secure wire insertion
- No tilting of the connection
- Reliable prevention of wire loosening by the resilience of the clamping holder and elestic deformation of the clamping body
- Reliable prevention of screw loosening caused by the vibrating clamping bracket that touches the screw head (this makes the screws captive).

Optimum contact ensured through the patented and renowned clamping yoke system which is based on the classical increase of force of the screw. Requring only small effort, the screw thread produces high contact power.
A high contact force is only effective when continuously excerted on the conductor. The Weidmüller clamping yoke system works as follows: When the clamping screw is tightened, the resultant force causes the upper thread overlap to spring open, thus causing a locking action to be exerted on the screw. Movement of the connected conductor is compensated by the elastic behaviour of the clamping yoke.
Result:
The connection is vibration-resistant and makes retightening of the clamping screw unnecessary. |

The TOBJOB® S Rail-Mounted Manufacturers of terminal blocks Range
One range of rail-mounted terminal blocks that can fulfill all industrial and Ex applications, as well as those for building installations. Thanks to CAGE CLAMP MANUFACTURERS® S technology, the TOPJOB® S rail-mounted terminal blocks for the DIN 35 carrier rail are the smallest on the market. The compact size helps minimize costs through the reduction of panel space used, as well as smaller enclosures and junction boxes.
CAGE CLAMP® S technology allows push-in connection of stripped, solid and ferruled stranded conductors. If connecting stranded conductors without ferrules or small cross-sectional conductors, the screwdriver is simply inserted into the operating slot to open the clamp.
The range of TOPJOB® S rail-mounted terminal blocks has also been expanded by the 2002 Series 2- and 4-conductor disconnect terminal blocks. They can be used in control and process measurement systems as well as transformer circuits. |

The terminals for printed circuit boards offer the possibility of establishing mechanical and electrical connections between wires and printed circuit boards. Our range only comprises screw terminals to secure an optimal electrical contact. They may be placed side by side and labelled.
In addition to one-step versions our range includes also two- and three-step terminals with compact design but important connecting capacity. The terminals are available with various cross sections and pin spacing. Our programm also comprises pluggable PCB terminal strips (with industrial plugs and sockets) which enable electronic modules to be disconnected and easily replaced. |
