Terminal blocks provide a junction between two electrical conductors. They are simplified electrical connectors that use either a screw terminal or spring-cage to create a secure connection. Terminal blocks facilitate the connection between electrical devices and wires.
Terminal blocks are suitable for both high and low current, AC or DC applications. Terminal blocks are common in industrial applications, such as machine controls, switchgear, distribution panels, measuring devices and electrical outlets.
There are several different connecting technologies used for terminal blocks. The most common is the screw connection terminal block which uses a screw to link the two conductors. Other types include spring-cage, feed-through, and push-in.
Be sure to specify the size of your system's electrical conductor using the AWG (American wire gauge) or another scale.
