BENCHMIKE 283 - Off-line tube samples ID/OD/Wall Measurement System
For precision ID, OD, and Wall Thickness measurements, simply place a tube sample on the ID/OD/Wall fixture and the BenchMike will calculate all the dimensions. The ID/OD/Wall fixture can also automatically rotate a sample to a pre-defined number of positions for measurements at multiple points around the product. This rotation allows for the calculation of concentricity and ovality of the tube. The graphical user interface has options to view the rotational cross section of the product and a graph that shows deviation or variation at the various rotational degrees of measurement.
Features:
* Measures over tube samples of diameter from 0.075 up to 50mm (depending on fixture used)
* accuracy of +/-0.9micron
Benefits:
1- Ease of use & repeatability from one operator to another
2- Accuracy of measurements thanks to the laser scanning technology
3- User-friendliness of the graphical interface and of the principle of measurement
Several fixtures are offered to measure outside diameters/other dimensions of tubes: V-blocks, rotating mandrels, translation slides...

CFR F1/F2 Octane
The gold standard for octane determination of gasoline, the CFR® F1/F2 combines both globally-accepted methods for octane determination in one reconfigurable system. The CFR F1/F2 can be set up for either ASTM® D2699 (IP 237) Standard Test Method for Research Octane Number (RON) or ASTM D2700 (IP 236) Standard Test Method for Motor Octane Number (MON). CFR units are recognized worldwide for producing consistent, accurate test results in determining combustion characteristics of automotive gasolines, aviation gasoline and diesel fuels.
CFR F4 Aviation
The CFR® F4 is the globally accepted gold standard for octane determination of aviation gasoline and aviation gasoline blending components. It conforms to ASTM® D909 (IP 119) Standard Test Method for Knock Characteristics of Aviation Gasolines by the Supercharge Method. CFR F4 engines meet demanding quality standards to ensure reliable test results. CFR units are recognized worldwide for producing consistent, accurate test results in determining the combustion characteristics of automobile and aviation gasolines and diesel fuels.
CFR F5 Cetane
The CFR® F5 is the globally accepted gold standard for determining the ignition quality of diesel fuels and diesel-fuel blending components. It conforms to ASTM® D613 (IP 41) Standard Test Method for Cetane Number of Diesel Fuel Oil. CFR F5 engines meet demanding quality standards to ensure reliable test results. CFR units are recognized worldwide for producing consistent, accurate test results in determining the combustion characteristics of automotive and aviation gasolines and diesel fuels.
CFR FIT Cetane
The latest addition to Dresser Waukesha's fuel testing product line-up is FIT® a fuel ignition test unit for Derived Cetane Number of Diesel Fuels. FIT measures the ignition delay of a diesel fuel under prescribed conditions and uses a simple equation to convert the measured ignition delay into a Derived Cetane Number (DCN) as outlined in the ASTM® Method D-7170-08. The FIT unit is a refinery laboratory quality control tool and ignition research instrument that is compact, easy to use and operates with short cycle times for high throughput.

The following development tasks are carried out on the test rig:
Standard tasks such as:
- Measuring temperature and pressures
- Measuring vibration paths and adjustment travel
- Measuring mechanical stresses
- Strain measurements
|
|
Fuel & Lubes

Mechanical Components
The mechanical design of the test bed has to be matched to the very specific requirements of a powertrain test bed which can vary considerably.
With all-wheel vehicles, for instance, the different wheelbase has to be taken into account. The challenge for the mechanics therefore is that the dynamometers have to be adjustable. The AVL solution allows simple axle and track adjustment by manual (or as an option automatic) shifting of the DynoWheel machines.
All the other modular mechanical standard components are specified to the requirements of powertrain testing and comprehensively tried and tested.
The special mechanical configuration of OptimaTest Powertrain test bed is modular and open for future extensions.
The flexible mechanical configuration of the AVL solution gives users a test bed with multi-configuration capability. The highly dynamic all-wheel powertrain test bed can easily be reconfigured for testing vehicles with front and rear-wheel drive. Different tests can therefore be carried out on the same test bed which makes for enormous cost savings.
The versatility of the test bed with its multi-configuration capability guarantees operators higher productivity, saving time and money.
