Surge Protection Devices (SPD) are also known as Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS). These devices can comprise a complex arrangement of varistors, transorb diodes and gas arresters. The function is to divert lightning surge energy away from electrical or electronic equipment. They are activated by the steep voltage impulse generated by a lightning strike and are designed to conduct tens of thousands of Amps in impulse energy. Typical impulse tests for SPD devices include energy absortion (8/20us or 10/350us), duty cycle (8/20us), Clamping voltage (8/20us) and Combination Wave Tests for devices connected in the AC power main.
EMC PARTNER offer a range of instruments from a few Amps up to 100,000 Amps.
All units offer a combination of impulses specific for particular devices whether they are disc varistors, SMD varistors, Gas Arresters or combinations of all.

SOLAR300 carries out all the recommended tests to check the performances of single and three phase photovoltaic installations. SOLAR300 measures output DC power of the cells, output AC power of the inverter, solar radiation and temperature of the cells.
Measurement of AC and DC power requires the user to connect the instrument's inputs upstream (DC) and downstream the inverter. The values in single-phase installations or in three-phase installations, are acquired simultaneously. Usually the inverter and the photovoltaic cells could be far each other. To skip the use of long cables, which are very uncomfortable, SOLAR300 uses a remote measuring device, SOLAR-01, that acquires the following parameters: solar radiation, temperature of the cells and environmental temperature.
At the end of the recording, the values acquired by SOLAR-01 are transferred to the SOLAR300 through an USB connection. SOLAR300 also permits recording of each parameters, the voltage/current harmonic analysis and the voltage anomalies (sags, swells) detection. Thanks to its built-in memory and its compact flash driver a considerable volume of data can be stored for further analysis.
The innovative touch screen system of SOLAR300 makes the data analysis extremely easy. In addition, the management software Topview allows the user to create professional reports displaying the company trade mark, the user's data, the recording comments, etc.

A system specially designed for high precision measurements of compression. With its high reduction ratio, this manually operated test stand is well suited for the measurement of small springs with low force levels. The displacement sensor gives a measurement of the flexion or height measured under load with a resolution of 5 µm. The test stand is equipped with a set of adjustable limit stops. The measurement display shows the force and the displacement simultaneously and plots the graph curve for the spring. These data can be exported via the RS232 output of the display unit. The parallelism of the lower plate can be adjusted to ensure correct seating for the spring. An accessory kit can be used to make measurements on tension springs.

The purpose of THP1 device is identical to that of the TB1 unit, that is to say testing pieces in a low or medium production with the only difference that this device is indicated for testing pieces under high pressure conditions. To this purpose it features a shielded screen which shuts itself automatically before starting the test. When the piece being tested is under high pressure it is not possible to open the screen until the safety conditions have been totally restored.

With its Centor Dual force gauge, fixed plate and adjustable plate, this unit can be used to test high capacity tension and compression springs. The command automatically determines the origin of the displacements and then stops the machine at a predetermined flexion value to measure the height under load. It is also possible to measure flexion, and cycles can be programmed. The instrument has an RS232 to store the results on a computer. Additional sensors are available to provide high levels of precision for springs with low force levels. Ready to use system. Supplied with a Ø 4 in fixed plate.

It is a universal testing machine capable of carrying out tensile, compression, bending, and shearing fesfs. Operation is manual, semiautomatic, and automatic. The test instrument can be modularised taking into account that the structure can house 3 permanently installed load cells for compression tests, and 3 sets of tensile grips for tests, including at break. Our system uses several cards (for axis and cell reader control) that are connected via CanBus to enable displacements to position or force at a feedback speed of 1000 Hz. Load cell reads are effected ì,000 times per second. Minimum indexing is 1/32,700 (this can be increased by slowing down load cell reading).

SF1491 EMSY Spring Tester
Capacity:
Model 1491:
Axial force: 50 kN (11,000 lbf)
Lateral force: 2.5 kN (560 lbf)
Applications:
The SF1491 EMSY Spring Tester is specifically designed to determine detailed force line (load center) information on automotive suspension springs.
About the SF1490 Series Spring Testers:
The SF1491 EMSY Spring Tester is a floor standing electro-mechanical testing machine equipped with Instron's EMSY load cell system that determines the true response vector of a coil compression spring under load. This information is used by spring manufacturers and suspension design engineers to develop suspensions for automobiles and light trucks with better and safer ride characteristics.
The system uses nine load cells to accurately determine the center of load position on the upper and lower spring bearing surfaces as well as all axial and lateral loads and moments generated by the spring.
