HIGH-TECH replacement for VA METERS
The MASS-VIEW® flow meter series are a digital alternative to the conventional variable area meters. The MASS-VIEW® flow meter series incorporates a digital bar graph of actual gas flow as well as indicating flow units, gas type and totalised figures.
The MASS-VIEW® series operates on the principle of direct thermal mass flow measurement. It offers a standard accuracy rating of ± 2%RD if the flow is higher than 50% of it’s maximum full scale and ±(1%RD + 0.5%FS) on lower flows, flow ratings from 0.2 up to 200 ln/min, and handles pressures up to 10 barg. The MASS-VIEW® incorporates the latest OLED technology, which gives a brighter readout than LCDs, can be viewed from virtually any angle and has fast signal response times. Alarm settings and the selection of a gas/range are accessed via menu. An analog output signal enables data logging against various parameters and full accountability of gas flow.

Bronkhorst High-Tech developed a field bus based pc-board for their mass flow metering and control solutions featuring self-diagnostics, alarm and counter functions, digital communication and remotely adjustable control settings. The digital "multibus" Mass Flow Meter can be equipped with on-board interface board with DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, Modbus or FLOW-BUS protocol. The newest digital Mass Flow Meters of the Select Series offer Multi Gas / Multi Range functionality featuring greater flexibility for user selection of both flow ranges and gas types, maintaining high accuracy and turndown range for measurement and control. Thanks to this feature users of the Select series can rescale their instruments on site, saving time (and money) for mounting and dismounting. For the convenience of the user, Bronkhorst High-Tech has developed a free and easy-to-use software tool called "FlowTune" for changing the configuration of Select instruments.

SCHMIDT® Flow-sensor SS 20.260 for process technology
For the employment in process technology the latest SCHMIDT® flow sensor SS 20.260 offers three crucial upgrades compared to his forerunner. With an expanded measuring range of 0 … 50 m/s the sensor can be applied for flow rate control in a wide range of systems. Many processes require the measurement of heated gases and therefore an enhanced operating temperature. Depending on the configuration of the SS 20.260 it is up to 120 °C. The temperature can be measured with an additional linear output and no separate sensor is required any more. The unit is ro-bust due to a chamber in which the sensing element is protected against impacts. The stainless steel sensor tube is available in different length and thus can be placed at the correct position regardless of the size of the duct. Two LED’s indicate the correct operation or inform about wrong supply voltage or sensor defects.
Applications: Flow measuring in air ducts, volume flow measur-ing in test benches, control of combustion air of oil, wood, gas or coal burners, flow control in cool-ing or drying constructions.
Technical data: Immersion sensor with integrated transducer.
Use of sensor: Free air and guided air in ducts from 25 to 1.000 mm (1 to 40 inch).
Medium: Air, Nitro-gen, Argon and other non-burnable gases. Measuring ranges: 0 … 2.5/10/20/40/50 m/s.
Pressure: Atmospheric.
Power supply: 24 VDC / power consumption only 30 mA.
Output: 0 … 10 V / (0)4 … 20 mA linear.
Functional display: 2 Status LED’s

The FMA-1600A and FVL-1600A Series mass and volumetric flowmeters use the principle of differential pressure within a laminar flow field to deterime the mass flow rate. A laminar flow element (LFD) inside the meter forces the gas into laminar (streamlined) flow. Inside this region, the Poiseuille equation dictates that the volumetric flow rate be linearly related to the pressure drop along a fixed distance of the LFE. This, along with the viscosity of the gas, is used to accurately determine the volumetric flow rate. Separate absolute temperature and pressure sensors are incorporated and correct the volumetric flow rate to a set of standard conditions. This standardised flow rate is commonly called the mass flow rate and is reported in units such as standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) or standard litres per minute (SLM).
Standard units include a 0 to 5 V output (4 to 20 mA optional) and RS232 communications. The gas select feature can be adjusted from the front of the keypad or via RS232 communications. Volumetric flow, mass flow, or absolute pressure, and teperature can be viewed or recorded through the RS232 connection. It s also possible to multi-drop up to 26 units on the same serial connection to a distance of 38 metres. These flowmeters can be powered by the optional battery pack FMA1600-BP for use in the field.
The FVL-1600A Series comprises volumetric flowmeters only. They do not measure or correct for absolute pressure or temperature. The FMA-1600A Series is recommended if the operating pressure is above 10 psig or if there is any restriction or backpressure in the applications.

The FMA1000 Series industrial air velocity and temperature transmitter/indicator measures and displays air velocity as well as air temperature in research and development labs, HVAC applications, and other manufacturing processes. The sensor design is based on three RTD elements, one measures air temperature and the other two measure air velocity by measuring the heat loss from the RTD sensor as it cools down by the air flow.
The FMA1000 series offers many standard features such as display of air velocity and temperature, two analogue outputs corresponding to air velocity and temperature, high and low voltage alarm outputs, USB serial interface, and Windows® based data logging software. The FMA1000 displays the air velocity in different engineering units such as FPM, m/sec, miles/hour, and km/hour. The air temperature is displayed in °C or °F.
