The bimetal temperature switch lends itself to universal use. Areas of application include temperature monitoring/control and signaling in cooling and heating systems, manufacturers of compressors and motors.
The temperature switch can, to a limited extent, also be used as a temperature controller.
The temperature change is transferred to a mechanism via the professional fitting. When the switching temperature is reached, the temperature switch is activated.

be divided into two groups, depending on the measurement

Resistance professional thermometer
Resistance thermometer have a defined resistance value
at 0°C which alters, depending on temperature.
This alteration is presented as temperature value.
Thermo couples
Thermo couples consist of two different metal wires which
are welded together at one point. When the weld spot is
heated, a thermal voltage is generated at the open ends
of the wires which provides the temperature metering.
The sensors have a modular design and consist of
• a connection head
• a protective tube
• a replaceable measurement insert.
The connection head for wiring is the standard head of shape B. The protective tube and the measurement insert of the sensor vary, depending on application conditions and temperature range.

"Bimetal temperature switch TSM / TSE
All fluid containing systems used as hydraulic power packs or for lubrication need to limit the minimum and maximum temperature of the fluid.
The TSM/TSE series of switches have bi metal contacts with a range of different settings and contact functions. Either one or two contacts are inserted into a housing made of brass (TSM) or stainless steel (TSE).
Please note that for applications with temperature settings close to ambient temperatures the hysteresis of the TSM/TSE might not allow the contact to reset. In such cases we recommend using our Thermotronic LC1.
The TSM/TSE can be fitted with DIN or M12 connector suppliers terminals .
