Threaded bolts to DIN 1445 are available in standard or stainless-steel versions with diameters from 8mm to 20mm.
The best example of an ideal area of application is the conveyor belt. The seat of the roller bearing is often secured with a stud bolt. There are good reasons for this. First of all a stud bolt is easy to install. It only needs to be secured on one side, for example, with a nut. Secondly it is absolutely free from twisting and in addition has smaller tolerances than its “smooth brothers“. This guarantees reliable guiding of the belts.

The CLUFIX-STUD™ insert is an ideal solution for the blind installation of studs on thin sheets or profiles.
In the same way as a rivet, CLUFIX-STUD™ allows the assembly of two or several workpieces - whilst still offering a stud function.

STUDFIX™ is a stud designed to be crimped to achieve a screw function on metal sheet of any thickness.
For this type of component , crimping is carried out using a press. The groove located under the bosses receives the material of the metal sheet, which flows under the effect of the pressure exercised on the head.
STUDFIX™ thus offers high performance mechanical behaviour. Torque resistance is ensured by the anchoring of the bosses in the metal sheet, and high resistance to axial forces is guaranteed by the design of both head and groove.

It is a quick and safe fixing system. It gives answer to assembling problems on plates, folded sheet-metals and thin walls, even when already painted. Self clinching are usually press-applied. They can be studs, nuts, stand offs or captive fasteners. They are available in steel, stainless steel and zinc plated steel.
|
|
Clinch studs are fastening elements which are clinched captive into formed sheet components. The results are sheet metal components ready for mounting. Clinch studs, therefore, are a reliable and economical weld screws, riveted or pressed-in bolts. Large press-out forces and high torques are typical for this production technique.
The reduction of production stages and of energy consumption results in considerable cost savings. An additional advantage is the possibility of processing several clinch studs in a single stage.

Overview
Developed to be molded into plastic and replace metal stamping and fastener assemblies, PlasTORX® studs are engineered to provide high resistance to rotation and pull-out, ensuring a high-performance assembly. Its hex-lobular design helps reduce stress risers, so it can be used in materials susceptible to cracking or breaking.
Features
Hex-lobular TORX® configuration
Flange on top of head
Threaded shank for nut member
Designed to be molded directly into component or carrier strips
Benefits
Allows multiple fasteners to be installed at one time, increasing assembly efficiency
Provides maximum resistance to rotation and pull-out
Ideal for materials susceptible to cracking

Substitute the length of stud required for the ?? in the part no. and the finish code for the ?? following the part no. to specify the exact part required. These fasteners are available in Carbon Steel Heat treated and Plated Zinc and Clear passivated, Code 60, or in Stainless Steel, Code SS. Code 60 products are for use in sheets of Rockwell Hardness of B - 85 max. Code SS is for use in sheets of Rockwell Hardness of B - 70 max.
CS Clinch Studs are a fast reliable method of providing captive male thread forms in thin sheet metal sections. Their ease of use makes them the preferred fastening method for all sheet metal work used in the computer, electronics, electrical and telecommunications industries. A simple squeezing action with a press and bottom die installs the fasteners into the sheet where they are retained due to the coining groove being filled with material during installation. The stud has advantages over the nut in that they provide locations upon which components can be hung during assembly, improving production times.
