The Quick-Change robotic tool changer provides the flexibility to automatically change end-effectors or other peripheral tooling. The products are designed to function reliably for millions of cycles at rated load while maintaining extremely high repeatability. For this reason, the Quick-Change is becoming the number-one tool changer of choice around the world.

The "CUT" series TOOLCHANGERS are mechanical cam units that transform a uniform rotary motion of the input shaft into a composite motion of the output shaft. The synchronised combination of rotational and linear movements performed by the output shaft produces the cycle that carries out the transportation of the tool in the spindle and places it into a tool storage device.
Currently manufactured in three frame sizes: CUT31, CUT41, CUT51 tools with 30, 40, 50 and HSK taper. The toolchange gripper arm is has an automatic lock for the tools during motion. Exhange arms are available for various tool exchange center distances from 400 to 850 (mm) and made for most tool systems.

The HTC (Horizontal Tool Changers) devices are mechanical, machine-independent tool change assemblies which, by means of a cam drive, transform an incoming uniform rotary motion supplied by a gearmotor into a regular series of stop-and-go linear and rotary movements of the output shaft onto which the arm of the tool gripper is fixed. The synchronous combination of movements performed by the gripper arm provides the typical tool change cycle which is a characteristic feature of this device.
Currently manufactured in three frame sizes: HTC140-40-50 for tools with ISO 30, 40, 50 and HSK 63-80-100 taper. The toolchange gripper arm has an automatic lock for the tools during motion. Exhange arms are available for various tool exchange center distances from 470 to 580 [mm] and made for tool from 10 to 25 [KG] weight.

In most machining centres with horizontal spindle axis, it is normal for the tool-magazine to be in a protected area of the machine. This area is generally separated from the working area by means of a bulkhead in which there is a door opening. Only when exchange of tools is made, is the door opened and closed.
For the fastest tool exchange time, the door movement in the bulkhead must be synchronised with the movement of the tools exchanger. HTC is equipped with an extra output shaft that is used for rapid opening and closing of the door in perfect synchronisation with the tools exchange motions.
This evolution of the HTC40 mechanism is known as HTC 40T.

CUT TOOLCHANGERS WITH ROTARY TOOL STORAGE MAGAZINE mechanisms are designated CTM and are designed and manufactured to carry a toolchange gripper arm in an automatic and synchronized motion on machine tools.
The rotary motion magazine is indexed by a disk to a tool exchange position where the tool cell is pivoted 90° by means of a pneumatic cylinder.
When the cell is in the change position, the gripper arm picks up the tool by means of a uniform rotary and linear motion, taking the tool from tool magazine and changing its position with another tool in the machine spindle.
The complete cycle of synchronized motion by the gripper arm made by a single rotation of the input shaft.
CUT TOOLCHANGERS WITH ROTARY TOOL STORAGE MAGAZINES are available in four sizes: CTM 20, CTM 30, CTM 40, CTM 50. These sizes vary depending on the dimensions and characteristics of the tools to be used with the magazine.
The standard capacities of the rotary magazine are 12, 20, 30, or 32 tools.

Power lines, light wave lines and signal lines as well as ProfiNet lines may be separated as safely as hydraulic and pneumatic lines.
Key Benefits:
- static load capacity depending on the version: 25 KN (TOOL MASTER 500), 40 or 60 KN (TOOL MASTER 1000)
- light weight
- minimal overall height (96 mm when connected)
- multi flange available for all current robots
- compensating module for compensating the radial and axial misalignment between tool and robot
- contactless safety switch
Tool Parking Station
Special parking stations, tailored to the tool changer, optimise the reception of tools from the robot workstation and ensure a quick and safe parking.
The parking station is designed to the same modular principle as the tool changer and can be assembled with individual elements.
Support Brackets and Modules
The WALTHER TOOL MASTER and the tool parking stations feature a modular design and may be equipped with various support brackets and a wide variety of electro plugs for different media and requirements

The CU system is a mechanical cam-driven tool changer that combines an intermittent series of linear and rotary movements necessary to change the tool:
-cone gripping
-extraction (from the tool pocket and from the spindle)
-changeover
-insertion (in the tool pocket and in the spindle)
-release
A mechanical tool safety lock on the gripper holder arm makes sure the tools are transferred safely during the changeover phase.
