The "CUT" series TOOLCHANGERS are mechanical cam units that transform a uniform rotary motion of the input shaft into a composite motion of the output shaft. The synchronised combination of rotational and linear movements performed by the output shaft produces the cycle that carries out the transportation of the tool in the spindle and places it into a tool storage device.
Currently manufactured in three frame sizes: CUT31, CUT41, CUT51 tools with 30, 40, 50 and HSK taper. The toolchange gripper arm is has an automatic lock for the tools during motion. Exhange arms are available for various tool exchange center distances from 400 to 850 (mm) and made for most tool systems. |

The HTC (Horizontal Tool Changers) devices are mechanical, machine-independent tool change assemblies which, by means of a cam drive, transform an incoming uniform rotary motion supplied by a gearmotor into a regular series of stop-and-go linear and rotary movements of the output shaft onto which the arm of the tool gripper is fixed. The synchronous combination of movements performed by the gripper arm provides the typical tool change cycle which is a characteristic feature of this device.
Currently manufactured in three frame sizes: HTC140-40-50 for tools with ISO 30, 40, 50 and HSK 63-80-100 taper. The toolchange gripper arm has an automatic lock for the tools during motion. Exhange arms are available for various tool exchange center distances from 470 to 580 [mm] and made for tool from 10 to 25 [KG] weight. |

In most machining centres with horizontal spindle axis, it is normal for the tool-magazine to be in a protected area of the machine. This area is generally separated from the working area by means of a bulkhead in which there is a door opening. Only when exchange of tools is made, is the door opened and closed.
For the fastest tool exchange time, the door movement in the bulkhead must be synchronised with the movement of the tools exchanger. HTC is equipped with an extra output shaft that is used for rapid opening and closing of the door in perfect synchronisation with the tools exchange motions.
This evolution of the HTC40 mechanism is known as HTC 40T. |

CUT TOOLCHANGERS WITH ROTARY TOOL STORAGE MAGAZINE mechanisms are designated CTM and are designed and manufactured to carry a toolchange gripper arm in an automatic and synchronized motion on machine tools.
The rotary motion magazine is indexed by a disk to a tool exchange position where the tool cell is pivoted 90° by means of a pneumatic cylinder.
When the cell is in the change position, the gripper arm picks up the tool by means of a uniform rotary and linear motion, taking the tool from tool magazine and changing its position with another tool in the machine spindle.
The complete cycle of synchronized motion by the gripper arm made by a single rotation of the input shaft.
CUT TOOLCHANGERS WITH ROTARY TOOL STORAGE MAGAZINES are available in four sizes: CTM 20, CTM 30, CTM 40, CTM 50. These sizes vary depending on the dimensions and characteristics of the tools to be used with the magazine.
The standard capacities of the rotary magazine are 12, 20, 30, or 32 tools.

This is a new generation of vertical tool changer; - a mechanism that gives the complete tool changer motion cycle but contained within more compact dimensions. Both exchange time and rigidity are improved. VTC is currently manufactured for size 40 taper tools or size equivalents.
VTC is another result of continuous improvements of Colombo Filippetti products.
VTC is available in 60° or 90° rotation gripper arm parking: extraction stroke from 60 to 110 (mm), for ISO40 and HSK63 taper. |

CTM ROTARY TOOL MAGAZINE
This kind of tool changer is suitable for installations on NC milling machines, vertical and horizontal work centers and it is manufactured in different sizes according to the type of tool holder. For each size there is a corresponding magazine having a capacity of 12, 20 or 30 tools in standard version and 24, 40, 48 or 60 tools in the special version.
The CTM tool changer is composed of:
a CUT cam changer that after being activated by a single self-braking gear motor, executes a mechanically synchronized movement : it couples, pulls out, changes and simultaneously introduces tools in the spindle and in the magazine.
A completely mechanical activate BP rapid gripper arm.
A wheel type magazine composed of a cam indexing table RIG activated by a self braking asynchronous three-phase motor with a disk plate completed with tool pockets.
CTM is almost entirely built using light alloy and plastic materials so it could be directly fixed on the machine support.
Its main characteristics are silence and fast movement: the changing time varies from 0.8 to 3 seconds, in accordance to the tool weight and the exchange distance. |

CTA 40 HS TOOL CHANGER WITH RING MAGAZINE
The automatic tool changer type CTA 40 HS could be easily apply to different tool machines: vertical or horizontal tool machining centers, milling machines, transfer machines, lathes and special machines.
It fits to tools with cone HSK 50 and HSK 63 or capto C5 and C6. It could be assembled to our standard tool changer type HTC 140, VTC 40 and CUT 41 with gripper arm type BP 41.
The bushing motion is realized through a patented system without chains or belts, which needs regular checks and maintenance. The system operates using a precision reducer with servo motor.
Its main characteristic is that the selected tool bushing could be overturn either in the straight part or in the curve.
Another project permits the extraction of the selected tool through a transfer. |

MTE 40 TOOL CHANGER WITH SYNCHRONIZED MOVABLE PROTECTION
The MTE 40 tool changer has been expressly designed for high productivity horizontal and vertical work centers. It is composed of:
- Support for the HTC 40T tool changer complete with BP 41 gripper arm and synchronized movable bulkhead opening system activated by a single self-braking motor or a brushless motor.
- Ring tool magazine with pull-out tool holder bushings activated by a brushless motor.
- Pneumatic controlled tool extractor unit.
The opening of the movable bulkhead dividing the working area and the tool magazine is synchronized with the gripper arm movement thanks to the presence of a cam. This allows to minimize tool change times and simplify the electric control.
Change time (tool-to-tool) could vary from 0.8 to 1.5 depending on the tool weight and on the exchange distance.
Tool change could be operated both with 'random' management and with 'fixed place' without penalizing the tool change time.
Besides magazines could be assembled in parallel, in order to increase their capacity. |

| AGI EOAT tool-changers are accurate, highly rigid, and have multiple pneumatic ports and optional electrical contacts ideal for end of arm tooling. The pneumatic actuators tool changer system offers a full line of robotic tool-changers designed to minimize assembly line change outs and down time. |
