General technical information on TK frameless motors
The TK series of frameless brushless motors provide the highest torque density available today for direct drive, high performance applications. Unlike traditional torque motrs, TK units have both high torque and high speed capability and thus operate seamlessly both as spindle and table motors.
TK motors consist of separately supplied stator and rotor units suitable for direct assembly inside the structure of the machine. TK motors are three phase, rare earth (Iron Neodymium Boron) permanent magnet units and reach the highest continuous and peak torque density available today, together with high speed and flux control ability over a constant power range up to 10:1.
The rotors use special Phase manufactured magnets with minimized loss factor allowing high speed operation with a thin isotropic rotor.
All rotors are rigid units with mechanical, glue free magnet retention, preloaded carbon fiber sleeve for safe operation even at very high speed.
Rotor are often semi custom units to allow direct coupling to bearings, encoders, brakes.
All TK motors are designed for fluid (water) cooling on the outside of the stator for maximum performance. Conduction/convection cooling is also possible. Constant power operation (flux control) always requires water cooling.
Customized frames with integral cooling or even partial machine subassemblies with bearings and encoders are manufactured on request based on the standard frameless magnetic designs available.
The torque range spans from 10 to 40,000 Nm with maximum diameter 1150mm; above that size, segmented semi custom units are available, currently up to 18 m diameter

Torque motors produce a high torque which acts proportionally with the current and remains practically constant over the whole of the engine's axis of rotation. With torque of up to 480mNm and angles of rotation of 80°, these are eminently suitable for adjustment tasks such as those effected by throttle valves, AGR valves, or variable turbine configurations in exhaust gas turbochargers. Their contact-free function and the option of installing position sensors gives the user a motive power solution with the assurance of all-round availability and safety.
The products of the series 4000 are at present only available for OEM applications.

The TORQUECHAMPION® direct drive system is the new highly dynamic drive system from LTi DRiVES for precise, fast and maintenance-free positioning.
* Its short length and lack of gearing means it takes up a minimal amount of space.
* The peak torque of the MIC motor is available up to the maximum speed, making positioning faster.
* The hollow shaft permits simple feed-through of cables, hoses or laser beams through the motor.
* The integrated measurement system with 8,388,608 increments per revolution and single-turn absolute information means no reference running is required.
* The MTC motor is an external-rotor motor. It can be coupled with a high degree of torsional rigidity without gearing directly to the mechanism. This means it has no gear play and suffers no wear, needs to maintenance and offers very high drive dynamics.

Direct Drive STK motors have been designed for being integrated at the heart of servomechanisms with the aim to improve the performances of axis control.
Thus, the use of ALXION's Direct Drive Technology offers adequate solutions regarding the improvement of dynamic performances and accuracy and allows to address applications with demanding constraints on volumes and weights.

Permanent magnets brushless motors with high torque for direct drive
Based on the idea that a specific range should be elaborated, the FC motors range with high torque for axis without reducer was born in the beginning of the 90'.
This project, supported by the National Agency for Enhancement of Research, led ALXION to develop a range of 7 permanent magnets brushless motors, specially designed for direct drive applications in various industrial environments. The motors exist in 230 Vac and 400V / 460 Vac windings.

Our new bearing-mounted KTY synchronous torque motors set a new benchmark with regard to maximum drive system torque and stiffness, and are also extremely compact. The KTY model series is a useful alternative to geared motors in any application you can think of, and the motors in this model series have sensibly graduated torques ranging from 12 Nm to 240 Nm. This means that direct drive technology is also available in this torque class for the first time, which is convenient for the user. Three different flange sizes are all available in 3-4 lengths in order to meet requirements in the best possible way.

Torque motor consist of a fixed primary coil unit (stator or primary part) and rotated magnet ring (rotor or secondary part). Torque table consist of synchronous motor with built-in radial-axial (thrust) bearing, incremental sensor and hydraulic brake (optional).
Ruchservomotor JV designed and produced three series of torque motors: torque motors for instrument-industry (series RSM-24, series RSMR-24) and for machine-building industry (series RM-36). The feature of synchronous motors series RSM-24 is small dimensions for low dimensions(profile) position systems.

HT-direct motors are permanent-magnet synchronous motors that can provide high torques at low speeds directly at the driven machine. High efficiencies and good power factors can also be achieved at low speeds as a result of the permanent magnet rotors.
The HT-direct motors are offered as a harmonized system together with SINAMICS drive converters.
The HT-direct motor / SINAMICS drive converter represents a drive solution with a long service lifetime but with low lifecycle costs and high efficiency for applications with low operating speeds.

Lin Engineering's high torque step motors are capable of holding torques up to 920 oz-in based on unipolar ratings. Unipolar and bipolar windings are available to allow for torque and speed to accommodate your application. Lin's high torque motors provide approximately two times more holding torque than standard motors of similar design.

Black Bruin motors are at their best in situations where high torque is required and use of other transmission is not reasonable. Hydraulic transmission does not contain axles allowing the frame structure to provide e.g. higher ground clearance and sharper wheel turn angle.
Starting is soft and motion is smooth even at low speed. On the other hand, vehicles equipped with multi speed Black Bruin motors are capable of reaching top speed exceeding 70 km/h.
The motors are used e.g. as wheel hub motors for agricultural, forestry, road building and mining machines.
