The Solartron Digital Mini Probe is a compact, low profile, transducer intended for measurements in confined spaces such as bores. The product is based on a parallel spring structure that is significantly more robust than a single leaf arrangement. This greatly improves the reliability of the sensor, extending its working life and allowing it to be used in more demanding applications, such as automatic gages. The parallel spring also ensures a high level of repeatability, both on axis and across axis, so that it can be used in dynamic applications where profiling is required.

The low-cost Alternative: The Internal Taper Gauge IKT-OS
The term OS is an abbreviation which means "without stop bar". By the omission of the bar, the alternative internal taper gauge can be manufactured at a lower cost which in turn renders a favourable sales price.
The IKT-OS is implemented to measure the largest diameter of internal tapers or tapered grooves. In contrast to its brother product, the IKT-OS requires a contact surface and cannot be used with thin-walled work pieces.
Standard setting masters can be utilised, as well as the corresponding dial indicator or digital dial indicator IKT-MU1086W.

Using LVDT technology, Trans-Tek manufacturers three different lines of Gaging Transducers capable of measuring up to 20 inches. Gaging transducers are often selected over free-unguided LVDTs when a hard connection cannot be made to the moving object. All units consist of a spring-loaded shaft guided through a phosphorous bronze, leaded bearing. A hardened steel contact tip touches the object to be measured.

GS-1000 is a long range contact type linear gauge sensor which has a linear type displacement converter and converts spindle displacement directly into electric signals.
The adoption of ball spline bearings in the spindle has resulted in increased torsional rigidity (10 times as much as our conventional one) and of durability (practical durability of more than 10 million times) of the spindle.
The sensor is suitable for use in dangerous places and where measured values cannot be directly observed and for being incorporated in machines.
