The Elo touchmonitors with Magnetic Stripe Reader are designed for touch and include an integrated three-stripe, ergonomically-placed magnetic stripe reader (MSR). The MSR is incorporated into the monitor housing and is designed to flow with the elegant styling of the monitor, rather than looking like a tacked-on afterthought.
Available with a choice of touch technologies, the touchmonitors with MSR are targeted toward applications that require the use of credit/debit cards, loyalty cards, and other card transactions. Unlike most MSRs, the Elo MSR also reads the third data stripe, normally reserved for applications such as customer loyalty programs.
Elo has positioned the MSR unit ergonomically on the top, right corner so that the user can swipe the card flat with a natural action. The USB version has an internal USB hub so that a single USB connection/cable carries both the touch interface signal and the MSR data.

A common board size provides resistive and capacitive designs; a solution that offers standards compliance as well as configuration adaptability.

3M supports the latest communication interfaces by providing both a Serial (RS232) Plug and Play interface and a Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface compliant with the USB Human Interface Device (HID) class.
In order to provide integration design flexibility for customers, the new SC series of resistive controllers maintain the same form and fit as the newest MicroTouch™ EX II controllers from 3M. Available in a compact 1" x 2" format, and supporting 4-, 5-, and 8-wire resistive touch screens as well as the specialty resistive products, these controllers are designed for easy integration onto LCD panels.
