Advanced Ceramic Technology is a recent term that
refers to a wide range of materials, which are
generally obtained from partition of inorganic raw
material –metal oxides-, and selected with a high
grade of purity. These materials are submitted to
shaping techniques of the powder metallurgy with a
following very high temperature sintering process
that leads to dense components, which high technical
performances offer a wide range of applications.
Thanks to their excellent properties, the Advanced
Ceramic Technology can be used in the making of
primary flow elements – with APLITEX as a pioneer.

For cutting purposes CeramTec has developed a high-performance material zirconia - a special zirconia ceramic (TZP). It stands out from other materials with its extremely high cutting edge strength and very good bending strength and toughness. The use of zirconia cutting blades improves efficiency in cutting textile threads, and thus increases profitability.

The SPC98 dry and flush mounted ceramic pressure sensor uses an aluminum oxide ceramic sensor as a "dry cell" that is extremely resistant to overload, aggressive mediums, extreme min/max temperature, applications with solid particles and low pressure ranges. These transmitter's are made in either 316 S.S. or Hastelloy C and provide a 4-20mA output signal. The SPC98 is designed to be installed at the bottom of the tank.

The actual measuring range of the SPC98 sensor is determined by the thickness of the ceramic diaphragm, which if overloaded, stops on the ceramic substrate without sustaining damage. Ceramic cells do not expand and contract nearly as much as metal, ensuring good temperature stability. Common features of the SPC98 are low hysteresis, high repeatability, immunity to the effects of process builds up and outstanding resistance to chemical attack. |
