Sandvik Coromant’s new GC1125 grade lives up to the demands of the leading parting and grooving tooling system, CoroCut® 1-2 edge and is now the first choice to achieve improved performance in parting, grooving, turning and profiling operations in a wide geometry range.
The optimization of properties for this grade delivers a wider application area and the capacity to handle improved cutting data. GC1125 has a good all round ability and provides the means to improve performance in a wide geometry range across many parting, grooving, turning and profiling operations. It is the first choice for application in steel and stainless steels and excels when machining cast iron and HRSA materials.
These advantages result from a technological breakthrough in coating and substrate technology. The combination improves wear resistance and security, either when running at higher cutting speeds or for a longer time in cut. The coating is new, PVD with TiAIN layers, including properties designed for the GC1125’s wide application area. New, fine grained substrate optimised for steels and stainless steels has improved hardness and supports increases in cutting data.
GC1125 is a simpler option, enabling machine shops to do more with one grade. Its wide geometry range offers improved performance to a larger number of machining operations.
In parting, it is optimised for steels, stainless steels and HRSA materials, a first choice in CF and CR geometries. CF is the low feed choice, giving excellent chip control and surface finish, CR the strong geometry for parting off bars and interrupted cuts at high feeds.

ISCAR-GRIP
Parting Inserts
DO-GRIP
First choice for parting. Double-ended inserts. Self clamped for deep grooving and large diameters. Screw clamped for small diameters.
SELF-GRIP
Single-ended insert for deep grooving and large diameters. Has a stopper for high radial accuracy.
CUT-GRIP
Single-ended insert. Self and screw clamped options. For tool users.
DO-GRIP for Swiss Automatics. The most economical, double-ended parting and grooving inserts in 1.0 - 3.0 mm (.039 - .118") widths that can be mounted on small shank 8, 10, and 12 mm (.315, .394, and .472") holders. The new design has a very short clamping head and with a slanted screw for convenient
indexing. These features are essential for operating on Swiss type automatic machines that have very limited space.
DO-GRIP is an optimal solution for grooving and parting of small shafts and tubes.

Sandvik Coromant is now extending its premium program of cutting tools for parting and grooving which will, no doubt, have great influence on machining productivity.
CoroCut 3 brings a third cutting edge to the shallow parting of tubes, bars and grooving operations. The extremely small parting widths in 2,0, 1,5 and 1,0 mm facilitates will reduce the raw material usage considerably.
The insert is held securely by a unique clamping solution ensuring accurate location and easy to use. This in combination with very tight indexing tolerances will produce workpieces with very close length tolerances.
Two dedicated insert geometries ensure peak performance and excellent surface finish in all workpiece materials. The very same holder can be used for all insert widths giving maximum versatility.

Grooving and Parting-Off applications just got better. Introducing TGP25 and TGP45 - new grades, new technology with DURATOMICTM coating gives impressive results.
Not only do these two grades feature the Duratomic coating technology, they also mark the beginning of a new generation for grooving and parting-off. Although designed for steel machining, these grades can also be used in cast iron and stainless steel with excellent results.
TGP25 - THE NEW GRADE FOR GROOVE TURNING
The unique and secure clamping system of Seco Multi Directional Turning (MDT) allows high speeds and feeds while securing long and consistent tool life.
The rigidity of Seco MDT can be used to fully exploit the extended cutting data capability of TGP25. Available in all widths, corner radii and chipbreakers,
TGP25 gives outstanding performance over a large application area and its superior edge integrity ensures an excellent surface finish too.
TGP45 - THE LATEST GRADE FOR PARTING-OFF
Team up the impressive stability of the HSS-blades for parting-off with 150.10 inserts and you can take full advantage of the cutting data capabilities of TGP45.
With superb performance in a wide application area, TGP45 is available in the most common widths and chipbreakers. It has a high level of wear resistance and allows high cutting data together with long tool life. The superior edge integrity will give you an excellent surface finish as well.
TGP45 is also a good choice for milling when using 335.10 disc milling cutters.
