deltawave Ultrasonic flowmeter
Our new measuring system deltawave is not only a precise flowmeter for open channels, filles and partially filled pipes but also a temperatur meter and a flow profile analysis tool. Due to the unique patent pending signal analysis deltawave works under extreme conditions, maintenance-free, calibration-free and reliably. The measurement system monitors itself continously and the multi-channel property ensures redundant safety. With only one deltawave, you can realize up to four independent measurement sites, significantly reducing the equipment cost. This feature, combined with the high accuracy up to 0.5% makes deltawave to one of the most powerful measuring systems.
Because of the high accuracy, field acceptance tests of hydraulic turbines, storage pumps and pump-turbines are possible due to ISO60041 and ASME PTC 18. Accuracies up to 1% could be achieved in open channels without calibration. In filled pipes or channels you will get an accuracy of 0.5% of reading. But measuring with deltawave do not means only accuracy. The optimized transducers ensures long-term stable measuring without maintenance. This has been proven successfully by public authorities.

LEFM® technology was installed on the first petroleum application in 1972. By 1976 a leak detection system in Alaska using 48 inch LEFM meters was installed and continues to operate today.
Caldon played a key role in establishing the API standard for measuring liquid hydrocarbons with transit time ultrasonic flow meters.
LEFM Series 200 flow meters are used in all areas of Petroleum processing - gathering, production, and distribution - by companies all over the world. The SoundTrack system is used to measure the relative density and kinematic viscosity of petroleum fluids. This information can provide interface detection in pipelines that carry multiple products.

Clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters
The SITRANS F US clamp-on ultrasonic flow technology offers several advantages, number one being the utilization of external transducers. These are quickly and easily mounted on the outside of the pipe, making them the perfect choice for retrofit applications and applications where corrosive, toxic or high pressure liquids and gases rule out the option of cutting the pipe.
With the use of the WideBeam technology, clamp-on flowmeters from Siemens have proven their superiority in both the field and the lab. They offer several benefits such as measurement of practically any liquid and gas; performance unaffected by viscosity, flow rate, pipe size, solids and aeration content; high accuracy and repeatability through automatic temperature compensation and zero drift correction; and installation flexibility on pipe sizes up to DN9140 (360 inches). They are available in six families: two geared towards general industry solutions and four tailored to energy, liquid hydrocarbon, gas and portable installations.
Combine this with flexible configuration options that allow you to either customize your flowmeter or to order complete systems, you can rest assured that we have the right solution for you.

Clamp-on Ultrasonic Flowmeter with DSP Technology
The MUL-310 is a "Time of flight" type Ultrasonic Flowmeter for liquids. Since the ultrasonic receiver required for the flow measurement is installed by the clamp-on system on the exterior of the pipe, it does not contact the measuring fluid at all, and also there are no concerns about particle generation or contamination of metallic ions in the fluid as it is truly non-invasive. It is suitable for the flow rate measurement of pure water and ultra pure water for the semiconductor industry. The resistance to bubble interference in the signal has been sharply improved by the new signal process method "DSP"(Digital Signal Processor). If bubbles are contained in the fluid, the transmission of the ultrasonic signal is impeded and signal recognition becomes difficult resulting in a loss of signal. Digital Signal Processing technology has been adopted for MUL-310, and even if the bubbles are contained in the fluid, the stable measurement of signal can be achieved. This product does not have limitations in terms of volume of bubbles by air volume being less than 10%. (It is not possible to recognize the signal in case of fluid streams with excessive bubbles)

Proven to have accuracy of better than ±0.10%, the Thermo Scientific M-PULSe™ multi-path ultrasonic liquid flow measurement system delivers a rapid return on investment by ensuring less lost and unaccounted for product. The system’s accuracy surpasses the API required custody transfer specification of ±0.15%, making it the most reliable flowmeter on the market today. Certified to ATEX Zone 0, the sleek stainless steel spool ranges from 4 to 16 inches in size, has no moving parts, and is intrinsically safe and spark-proof for use in the most hazardous environments. It has also proven to be independent of viscosity, is highly accurate over a wide liquid temperature range and features a non-metallic diaphragm that is well suited for corrosive applications to lower overall maintenance costs. The multi-path flowmeter works in tandem with a lightning fast flow computer to create an integrated liquid flow measurement system. The flow computer features built-in API conversion tables and compensates for temperature, pressure and density to provide unmatched repeatability and linearity. Additional system advantages include real-time flow profiling for accurate laminar, turbulent and transitional flow measurements for superior accountability and less product loss; the transducers can easily be changed while the instrument is in use, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime; strong performance results with the flow conditioner placed just 5 pipe diameters (5D) upstream of the meter rather than the standard 10 pipe diameters (10D); and the flowmeter's compact design and shorter footprint simplify installation on offshore platforms and other areas where pipe space is at a premium.

The Thermo Scientific SX40 flowmeter combines dedicated, dual frequency Doppler (DFD) technology with a patented digital signal processing technique to accurately determine the flow of liquids that contain particulates or air bubbles. By correlating two independent ultrasonic signals at different frequencies, it is able to automatically identify and eliminate noise errors from sources such as variable frequency drives. The SX40 incorporates clamp-on sensors which are easily installed for sludge management in sewage treatment plants and industrial applications, including slurry and effluent monitoring. Its large backlit graphics display provides excellent visibility even in poorly lit environments and it can be easily commissioned in a fraction of the time necessary to configure competitive models. Outputs include a 12-bit, optically isolated 4-20 mA analog signal and up to four independent programmable relays. It is available with a contact closure that helps to eliminate unwanted or erroneous flow volume data when backflow conditions occur. The instrument also offers a powerful 90,000 point data logger with non-volatile memory, enabling users to avoid the additional expense of a chart recorder or external data logger.

The SONOFLOW sensors, detecting the flow of liquids in thin tubes, constitute a new sensor series for the device automation. The newly developed method serves for a fast and safe identification of the flow rate or the flow volume of liquids respectively. The SONOFLOW is used in the medical technology, automation industry, device- and machine construction as well as in the pharmaceutical plant construction sector.
In order to be able to offer cost-effective flow sensors, we aimed for a modular construction of the measuring cell. It consists of 2 ultrasonic sensors, the metering box and the evaluation electronics. The measuring cell is integrated in the tube.
Due to the use of special inert materials for the measuring cell and the sterile measuring method the system provides great advantages in areas with strict hygienic standards.
Besides standardized applications there is also the opportunity to produce customized SONOFLOW sensors.
