008PCQT: Anti-Siphon, Spill-Resistant Vacuum Breakers
Description:
Series 008PCQT Anti-Siphon, Spill-Resistant, Vacuum Breakers prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage on indoor point-of-use applications. It consists of a bronze body construction, thermoplastic check and float assembly valve, stainless steel springs, tee handles, and a molded diaphragm separating the air inlet from the potable water supply to prevent spillage. Series 008PCQT is ideal for indoor use on machines or equipment in general plumbing applications. Maximum Working Pressure: 150psi (10.34 bar), Minimum Working Pressure: 8psi (55.2 kPa).

DESCRIPTION
The Apollo® 38-100 Series Atmospheric Type Vacuum Breaker is designed to prevent contamination of potable water due to back-siphonage. This 38-100 Series valve is not designed for backpressure conditions or continuous pressure applications of more than 12 hours in a 24 hours period. This Apollo® 38-100 Series valve is recommended for low flow installations that use small amounts of water.
FEATURES
- Corrosion resistant bronze body
- Compact and easy to maintain
- Heat resistant silicone seat disc
- Suitable for hot or cold water service
- MADE IN THE USA

Kadant Johnson Vacuum Breakers provide simple, dependable way to relieve unwanted vacuum which may develop in a closed vessel or pipeline. They can be used to prevent contamination from back siphonage in fluid handling systems, and to protect equipment against collapse or implosion. They combine tight closing with instant response, provide large air venting capacity, and are designed for easy installation and long service life.

Vacuum Breaker
Used to prevent negative pressure from causing damage to equipment. They make it easier for the air to enter when pressure is negative, both in equipment and in steam lines.

The CVB Series vacuum circuit breaker is the main electrical switch and protection device of AC locomotives and electric multiple units. Mode of operation: The energy required to switch on the CVB is stored by a spring. It takes only a small pulse energy to unlock the main spring release latch and set free the stored energy. As soon as the supply voltage is applied, the spring gets recharged in less than 10 s. When no control voltage is being applied, the vacuum circuit breaker is in switched off position and the spring remains charged and ready for the next switching operation.
Features:
- Electrically driven vacuum circuit breaker
- No secondary supply energy like pressurized air required
- Versions for 15 kV to UIC 550 available
- Following the fail safe principle
Application:
- AC main switch in electric locomotives and EMUs

Power/Vac® Vacuum Breakers
1200 to 4000A. GE pioneered this interrupter technology beginning with experimental work in the 1920's. Today, the vacuum design remains superior to other arc interruption technologies by providing a smaller footprint and simpler design.
Power/Vac® Replacement Vacuum Breakers
1200 to 3000A. GE Power/Vac® Vertical Lift (VL) breakers provide an economical and efficient way for customers to upgrade existing GE Magne-Blast Type AM (Air Magnetic) vertical lift circuit breakers.
Power/Vac® Vacuum Distribution Breakers
200 to 1120A. GE's outdoor distribution breaker uses the same proven vacuum interrupter technology as found in GE's Power/Vac breaker installed in metalclad, medium voltage switchgear.
Power/Vac® Vacuum Distribution Recloser Breakers
200 to 1120A. The GE Distribution Recloser helps customers maximize uptime and minimize outages by clearing non-persistent or temporary overhead faults.
