The VKD/CE is a True Union ball valve, electrically actuated, particularly suitable for industrial applications, where high performances and long time reliability are a must. The patented Seat Stop® system assures great longevity of the seals in situations where vibration or thermal expansion occurs. A micro-adjusting of the PTFE seals is also allowed. As any accidental loosening of the ball carrier is not possible, the radial dismounting of the valve body can be done in full safety. The new patented Dual Block® system allows a proper nut tightening, without any risk for unscrewing due to vibrations.

Valve Operator Systems
Spring Return operators are formed by bolting a spring return unit to a double acting Val-U-Act operator. The return movement is effected by a clock-type spring which is pretensioned to about half the operator torque. The amount of pretention is large, compared to the rotation and therefore the torque does not vary more than 20% over the rotation.
Spring returns are factory-installed and adjusted. The spring returns have a worm drive adjustment for setting or changing spring pretension. By inserting a socket key into one end of the worm the spring pretension can be very easily increased or decreased to suit operating conditions. To increase pretension, turn the worm clockwise; to decrease, turn counterclockwise.

Series 1200 actuators are pneumatic piston operators that are available in spring opposed direct and reverse acting models or a springless double acting configuration.
The series 1200 actuator ranges from 4 to 44 inches in diameter with an available travel of up to 15 inches. The direct and reverse acting models may be fitted with a variety of springs in order to overcome the wide range of forces that may exist on a valve plug.

A unique Scotch Yoke design incorporating a 5 degree off set in the scotch yoke mechanism which enables the maximum torque to be delivered at the closed position. This is ideal for butterfly valves, where the maximum torque is required at the seat break in and break out positions. The Morin Partial Stroke Test Device (PSTD) was developed to allow users to test emergency shut-down valves without disrupting the process. The PSTD unit is locked out when the unit is in service and the valve functions normally. When the unit needs to be tested, the operator unlocks the device and inserts the stop pin, allowing for 15 degrees of valve travel to sufficiently test the valve package. Unlike electronic versions, you are guaranteed a hard stop and no over-travel, time after time, without any special calibration.

Standard EA Series Rotary Actuators
The standard EA series of actuators contains both gear driven crankshaft and hydraulic powered axial shaft actuators. They can be used with combustion air dampers and a wide variety of low, medium and high torque rotary shaft valve bodies with crankarms. The EA series can accommodate applications requiring position to be held or returned to normal position during power interruptions. Used for two-position floating and proportional electric control, these actuators are employed wherever it is desirable to move a load in either direction or to stop it at any point in the stroke.
