Metso Automation’s Valvcon V-Series is a compact, rugged, reliable electric actuator designed for quarter-turn valve and damper applications and is available in both NEMA 4/4X and NEMA 4/4X/7&9 configurations. Notable features include all hardened steal spur gears, standard ISO 5211 mounting interfaces and CSA Certification to both Canadian and US Standards.
Other features include full access to cams and limit switches, 75% duty cycle, fuse protection for inputs and outputs, internal thermal-overload protection, wrench-operated manual override and visual position indication.
The plug-in Control Board option for modulating applications incorporates innovative features such as simple push button set up, auto calibration, selectable input control signal, position feedback signal, and signal fail position selection. Other standard features include local push button control, adjustable dead band, adjustable speed control, and locked output stall protection. The Control Board can be easily configured for reverse acting and split ranging control without any wiring changes.
Other options and accessories include the Iso/Readback and Speed Control/Timer Board options, a holding brake, tropical and standard heater/thermostat options, fully adjustable auxiliary limit switches and a declutchable handwheel override. All of the options are designed for easy field installation. The V-Series is available for valve and damper service up to 3000 inch pounds (250 lb-ft) of torque.

Description:
The Becker Environmentally-Friendly Positioner (EFP Series) is used with pneumatically actuated natural gas control valves to provide an accurate valve stem position that is proportional to the electronic command input signal received from an electronic controller. All Becker EFP’s are rated Explosion Proof Class 1, Div. 1 for use in hazardous locations. The EFP is compatible with all Becker actuators and may be retrofit to most manufacturer's control valve packages as well. The EFP eliminates the need for an I/P transducer and features ZERO bleed consumption at steady state. Additionally, the EFP features easy, solid state adjustment and multiple failure modes to protect your gas pipeline.

The VKD/CE is a True Union ball valve, electrically actuated, particularly suitable for industrial applications, where high performances and long time reliability are a must. The patented Seat Stop® system assures great longevity of the seals in situations where vibration or thermal expansion occurs. A micro-adjusting of the PTFE seals is also allowed. As any accidental loosening of the ball carrier is not possible, the radial dismounting of the valve body can be done in full safety. The new patented Dual Block® system allows a proper nut tightening, without any risk for unscrewing due to vibrations.

The actuator TA 70 Ex may be installed in areas with potentially explosive atmospheres consisting of gases and vapours with low ignition temperature and strong ignition penetration.
The approval for operation in these areas is confirmed by the European ATEX
Directive and for the international market by the IECEx Scheme. Every possible electrical spark source is enclosed by a flameproof casing. For maximum corrosion resistance the TA 70 Ex is available in a stainless steel version. As an option the actuator can be made failsafe by mounting the spring return system TA-FM which opens or shuts the valve in an emergency without power supply.

The Becker Model VRP-B-CH Double-Acting Pilot provides pressure control when utilized with a double-acting piston actuated control valve. The VRP-B-CH measures process sensing pressure and positions the double-acting actuator to maintain the setpoint. The VRP-B-CH Pilot may be utilized for pressure control applications with setpoints ranging from 1.0 (6.9 kPa) to 1300 psig (8964 kPa). Due to its low-bleed characteristics, the VRP-B-CH is typically utilized when bleed gas must be discharged to atmosphere.

Valve Operator Systems
Spring Return operators are formed by bolting a spring return unit to a double acting Val-U-Act operator. The return movement is effected by a clock-type spring which is pretensioned to about half the operator torque. The amount of pretention is large, compared to the rotation and therefore the torque does not vary more than 20% over the rotation.
Spring returns are factory-installed and adjusted. The spring returns have a worm drive adjustment for setting or changing spring pretension. By inserting a socket key into one end of the worm the spring pretension can be very easily increased or decreased to suit operating conditions. To increase pretension, turn the worm clockwise; to decrease, turn counterclockwise.

Series 1200 actuators are pneumatic piston operators that are available in spring opposed direct and reverse acting models or a springless double acting configuration.
The series 1200 actuator ranges from 4 to 44 inches in diameter with an available travel of up to 15 inches. The direct and reverse acting models may be fitted with a variety of springs in order to overcome the wide range of forces that may exist on a valve plug.
Viton seals are available for high temperature applications or environments with radiation exposure.

G Series:
A unique Scotch Yoke design incorporating a 5 degree off set in the scotch yoke mechanism which enables the maximum torque to be delivered at the closed position. This is ideal for butterfly valves, where the maximum torque is required at the seat break in and break out positions. The G series actuator range meets the latest Atex requirements and is produced in an ISO 9001: 2000 factory. Full traceability is available with each actuator, and a wide range of options are available. The standard G Series range has 15 Double acting and 15 Spring return Models and covers the Tomoe Valve range from DN40 - DN600.
