The IBS articulated arm for extracting fumes and air-borne pollutants from localised sources comprises:
- Self-supporting structure in pre-coated light aluminium alloy.
- Black-painted hood complete with damper, mesh protection, halogen lamp support (OPTIONAL) and positioning handle.
- Arm joints made from M1 flame resistant woven glass and PVC hosing with a maximum working temperature of 120°C.
- Compensation joints in ceramic fibre-bonded aluminium alloy.

The spot exhaust ventilation tube is especially suited to gathering contaminants on permanently installed welding benches.
The style telescope will not wear or tear and does not require any counterweights. The design and outside joints ensure that the smoke is captured at considerably reduced ventilator output. This also reduces the noise level.
The product comes complete with the wall bracket and Ø 160 mm adapter needed to connect it to a central unit or individual ventilator.

General description
Application
The ERGO extraction arms are designed for dust and welding fume extraction, as well as for capturing other fine-grained dust. The pollutants are captured directly from the emission source, avoiding their expansion in the room and inhaling by people. These arms are manufactured in a hanging or standing version. The extraction arm can work independently with a single extraction fan or in a group of local exhausts connected to the main collecting ductwork with a central fan.
Structure
The extraction arm consists of following assemblies:
- Swivel, -Hood,
-2 Pipe segments integrated by frictional joints,
- Gas springs to balance the weight of the segments,
-Shut-off damper.

OK International's BVX-100 Series Fume Extraction Systems are powerful, but low noise units that need no external ducting or compressor. Simply move these lightweight systems from station to station, plug them in and switch them on for instant fume extraction. Just 279mm (11") tall, with a 305mm x 229mm (12" x 9") plenum chamber, the units easily fit on any bench-top or, when space is at a premium, take advantage of the under-bench mounting bracket.
Rated at 85-Watts, the systems deliver high quality filtration without compromise. A powerful 85 m3/hr airflow rate provides immediate extraction of fumes, particles and vapors from operator breathing areas. When a larger capture range is needed, an innovative adaptor quickly transforms the plenum into an arm extraction system.
